For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Baxter VIC for a doggy day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Baxter VIC Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer doggy day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Baxter VIC sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

About Me Hi! I’m a 22-year-old Melbourne-based pet and house sitter who studies from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility to spend time with your pets and work around their individual routines.I’ve had pets throughout my entire life and have always loved caring for animals. I’ve also looked after plenty of family pets over the years and have been professionally pet and house sitting for around 4 years. I’ve cared for animals with different personalities, ages, needs and routines, and I’m always happy to learn what works best for each individual pet.Dog Walking Dog walks are generally around 30-60 minutes, with up to two walks a day depending on your pet’s needs. While I don’t have a dedicated dog park immediately nearby, I actually prefer safe, controlled walking areas rather than taking someone else’s pet to a busy dog park. I’ll never put your pet in a situation I wouldn’t be comfortable with my own pets being in. Walks can be adjusted to suit your dog’s age, energy level, confidence and abilities.Home Visits & Overnight Stays During home visits, I’ll provide food and fresh water, toilet breaks, playtime, cuddles, exercise and plenty of attention, while following any specific instructions you leave. I’m also happy to bring in mail, put bins out and take care of other small household tasks. For overnight stays, I’ll keep your pets’ normal routine as consistent as possible and treat your home with care and respect. I’m comfortable caring for senior, anxious, recovering or unwell pets, including providing extra supervision, assistance with mobility, keeping them comfortable, monitoring changes in their behaviour or condition, and following detailed care routines.I’ll also make sure your home stays secure while you’re away. I’ll check doors and windows are locked, gates are secure, keys are safely stored, and that your pets are safely inside whenever I leave. I’m happy to follow any specific home-security instructions you provide.Medication & Emergencies I’m comfortable providing most types of pet medication and care, including oral and topical medication. The only medication I’m unable to administer is injectable/needle medication. If an emergency or unexpected health concern occurs, I’ll stay calm, contact you as soon as possible, follow your instructions and contact your nominated vet or veterinary service when necessary. I’ll keep you updated so you know how your pet is doing. Why I Pet Sit ️For me, pet sitting isn’t just a job — I genuinely enjoy being around animals and find caring for them incredibly rewarding. I love getting to know each pet’s personality, making them feel comfortable and giving them plenty of attention while their owners are away. Knowing that I can give both pets and their owners some extra peace of mind is what makes pet sitting so enjoyable for me.My goal is simple: happy, safe and well-cared-for pets, and owners who can relax knowing their pets and home are in good hands.

Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve grown up with both cats and dogs at every stage of my life, which sparked a genuine passion for animal health, behaviour, and care. Through personal experience and ongoing research, I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away.
I currently share my home with two laid-back Ragdoll cats who are very accustomed to dogs, having regularly dog-sat my family’s Cavalier and raised/trained a German Shepard. They truly couldn’t care less about canine visitors, which helps create a calm and stress-free environment. I am experienced in caring for pets with different personalities, whether they’re energetic and playful, shy and cautious, or somewhere in between. I always take the time to learn each pet’s routine, preferences, and boundaries so they can settle in comfortably at their own pace.
My daily routine is structured around the pets in my care. This includes regular feeding schedules, playtime, enrichment activities, and plenty of affection (for those who enjoy cuddles), balanced with quiet time for rest. Pets are never left unsupervised for long periods, and I closely monitor interactions to ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable. For dogs, walks are tailored to their energy levels and needs, whether that’s a leisurely sniff-filled stroll or a more active outing. I use secure leads and harnesses as requested and am mindful of weather conditions and local surroundings.

Safety is a top priority in my home. My backyard is fully enclosed and regularly checked for potential hazards, and I ensure doors and gates are always secure. I follow any specific care instructions closely, including dietary requirements, medication, or special routines, and I’m attentive to signs of stress or discomfort so I can respond promptly. I’m also happy to provide regular updates and photos for peace of mind while you’re away.

As I’m currently unemployed and have a Grade 1 child, I have plenty of time, flexibility, and attention to dedicate to your furry family member(s). Your pet won’t just be watched, they’ll be cared for, loved, and treated like one of my own.
I provide a cosy home with a spacious backyard, plus plenty of nearby parks and enclosed areas, so your furry family member can enjoy a safe and happy stay.

My wife and I live in Langwarrin with our sassy greyhound princess named Gnocchi. She is a sweet, calm, couch potato who gets along with many dogs and small kids. We have dogsat for our friends at our home in the past, and Gnocchi has been a wonderful doggy host. I used to teach highschool and have been a trusted member of community groups, including volunteering at our local community garden in Chelsea. Now I work on a roster and have regular time off, so I want to fill up my free time and I’m excited to give back to our doggy community on Pawshake as we've used the service many times, and welcome more dogs into our lives! I'm a big dog person and my wife and I have a game of competing to point out every cute dog on the street.
What your dog can expect with me & Gnocchi:

If you want a home visit or walk, I am punctual and professional. I used to work as a teacher so I am respectful of client confidentiality and have house sat for friends in the past. A calm, gentle greyhound buddy for company if required

Walks, cuddles, enrichment, and a whole lot of attention

About Me
Hi, I’m Dewmi Fernando, and I have always had a deep love and respect for animals. Growing up surrounded by pets, I developed a strong understanding of their needs, personalities, and the care they require. My passion for animal welfare has led me to pet sitting, where I can provide pets with a safe, loving, and comfortable environment while their owners are away.
My Experience
I have 10 years of experience caring for a variety of pets, including dogs and cats. My experience includes feeding, grooming, administering medication, and engaging in enrichment activities to ensure pets feel happy and secure. I have worked with pets of all sizes and temperaments, including energetic breeds and anxious rescue animals, tailoring my approach to suit each pet’s unique needs.
My Services & Home Environment
I only accept vaccinated pets to ensure the health and safety of all animals in my care. I home visit dogs and cats where I will offer a pet-friendly space ensuring the safety of pets, providing plenty of opportunities for exercise and play. I offer personalized care based on your pet’s routine, whether that includes daily walks, interactive play, or quiet companionship.
I understand how important it is to find a reliable, compassionate pet sitter, and I am committed to providing the highest level of care. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend!

I’m a calm, caring, and reliable pet sitter with a genuine love for animals and a strong respect for the trust pet owners place in me. My motivation to be a pet sitter comes from how naturally I connect with animals, particularly those who benefit from a gentle, kind and loving presence. I really value providing care that is genuine and feels safe, low-stress, and attentive to each pet’s individual needs, routines, and personality.
I have previous experience caring for dogs and cats of different ages, temperaments, and energy levels, including pets who are a little anxious, shy, or sensitive to change. I’m very observant and take the time to notice the small things — changes in behaviour, appetite, or mood — so pets feel settled and well cared for while their owners are away. I’m also comfortable following specific instructions around feeding, medication, walks, and routines.
I take pet care seriously and always aim to treat animals as if they were my own. My goal is to provide loving, thoughtful care so you can feel completely at ease knowing your pet is in kind and capable hands.

I provide a calm, safe and structured home environment where dogs are treated like family, not just a booking.

I currently have my own small dog, so I understand daily routines, behaviour, and how important it is for dogs to feel secure in a new place. My motivation to become a pet sitter comes from genuinely enjoying time with dogs and creating a space where they can relax, feel safe, and be well cared for.

My home is clean, quiet and pet-friendly, with a dedicated indoor area and a secure playpen setup. This allows me to safely manage dogs when needed and ensure they are always supervised. Dogs are never left unattended in unsafe areas.

In terms of routine, dogs will typically receive 2 walks per day depending on their needs and energy level. I am home most of the time, so dogs are rarely left alone, and if I do step out, it is only for short periods.

Dogs will sleep indoors in a comfortable and temperature-controlled environment. I can follow your dog’s usual routine, including feeding schedules, toilet training (pads available), and rest times.

When introducing a new dog to my own dog, I always do a slow and controlled introduction to ensure both dogs feel comfortable and safe.

For safety outdoors, all dogs are kept on leash at all times. As I do not rely on a backyard setup, I ensure all outdoor activities are controlled and secure.

I can also assist with basic training reinforcement, routine care, and administering simple medication if required.
