I am an experienced international house sitter and started in 2015 whereby over 50 house sits have been completed in the US, UK, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, all with 5-Star Reviews (computer date-stamped screenshots can be sent).
I am big on cats and dogs, they both sense my affection for them and come over to me straight away. People are always a bit amazed because they say "my dog usually barks at strangers for days!" or the cat is straight on my lap and usually goes into hiding. I have a few tricks with animals that make them feel non-threatened and relaxed :)
Anyway, I'm big on exercise, running the 5km parkruns weekly on Saturdays at 7:00 am so am always happy to get more walking in. I go at the best pace your dog can manage and your dog will come back and want to sleep after all the excitement. I'm very gentle with dogs because I like to let them "read" the messages in the ground if they stop to do so, this is all part of tiring them out, in my opinion and providing them with a full experience.
I'm strong so any size dog is fine and I've walked up to 3 dogs before but could easily manage more.
I grew up with cats and dogs on a farm in Africa so am very familiar with animal behaviour and can sense when something strange might happen or if a situation is not looking good. If your dog or cat has any behavioural issues I'm pretty good at 'tactfully' making suggestions that remedy the issue.
I've found that a lot of cat owners don't realize that cats require their water bowls to be cleaned out and refilled every day with fresh water, not just topped up. So I have to squeeze this into the conversation too at some stage because I care about the welfare of animals as a priority even if the owners feel a bit offended - they still need to know :)
I'm available at short notice too because I work from home but am always looking for a useful distraction especially if it involves a bit of exercise.

2023 we are travelled Australia in our motorhome.  2024 has seen us become based in our own home and now we have the room to have your furry friends come to us to stay and play.  Happy to accommodate inside dogs and outside.  We even have an empty chicken coop if any chickens need a short term home.&nbsp;
Petsitting in your home (Brisbane Southside/Northside/Gold Coast/Sunshine Coast): My husband and I have been house/pet sitting since 2013, we are experienced in looking after dogs of all ages and sizes. We have looked after friendly cats and nervous cats - even the nervous ones become friendly and love the pats and cuddles.&nbsp;
Our preference has always been  to stay in your home and give your fur babies lots of attention and care rather than just pop in for a visit and then leave them alone. But now we have the room to have them stay with us.  When housesitting and petsitting we spend a lot of time with your precious pet, my husband is retired and i work from home over the internet, so very unusual for us to leave your pet or home for any length of time. We take home security and care very seriously. We will be in contact via text to reasure you all is well, photo's can be sent as often as you require for peace of mind.&nbsp;
We care for dogs, cats, fish and birds. We have cared for many beautiful loving pets and lovely homes.
Currently without pets of our own we really enjoy petsitting and making new friends.

We often get invited back to do a repeat sit.

We are simply a lover of Doggies.
We lost my 14 year old Boxer 3 years ago and it broke our heart , we did everything together from walks , drives plays in the park, drives to the water , walks on the beach and just laying around the house . We are now ready to share our love with your dogs., so we can again smile and spoil a few dogs again in our  life  .
As we both  love to walk  we  would love a companion to walk with and have a happy waging tail . Dogs to us  are part of a family and they deserve to loved and cared for even when Mum or Dad are away , so we will treat your dog as ours .
Whilst we have no experience as a pet sitter yet ( well we do we had our Boxer for 14 years ) we will love your dog just like our own .
We  have a fully fenced yard and your dog is welcome  to lay on the rocks or sit in the shaded veradah,  or if they would prefer be inside upstairs  or downstairs, really wherever they are most comfortable  and happy .
On hot days they may want the sprinkler or the shell pool filled up for some refreshing fun .
