Top cities for cat sitting in Australia

Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Waverley NSW Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Waverley NSW cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Waverley NSW cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Hi! I’m a 19-year-old girl from Finland who’s always loved animals. I had a dog for 10 years who meant the world to me, and I still miss him every day. Now, when I visit my grandma back home, I help take care of her little dog—which I really enjoy!
I’m based in Bondi and would love to help out with your dog—especially small to medium-sized ones. I’m happy to come to your place, take them for walks, play with them, or just keep them company while you're away. I know how important it is to feel like your pet is in safe hands, and I’ll treat them like my own.
I’m flexible, responsible, and doing this not only because I want to save for travelling—but because I genuinely love being around animals. I do prefer to look after vaccinated pets just to keep everyone safe.
Looking forward to meeting you and your pup!

"Passionate and Experienced Dog Walker & Groomer"
Hello, I’m Kira, originally from Chile. I grew up in the countryside surrounded by the love and company of four dogs and two cats, which sparked my deep passion for animals. Since then, working with dogs has become my career and true calling.
Currently, I live in the heart of Bondi, just a short drive from the park (centennial park) and the beach—ideal for walks, playtime, and giving dogs the best experience possible. I also own a car, which allows me to transport the dogs safely and comfortably to various locations for walks or appointments.
I dedicate my time to both dog walking and running my own dog grooming salon at home. Every dog I care for receives my full attention, love, and commitment, ensuring they feel safe, happy, and well taken care of. For me, working with dogs isn’t just a job; it’s a way of life. It brings me joy, and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. With over six years of experience as a professional dog walker and an expert dog groomer, I’ve developed a deep understanding of canine behavior, health, and well-being. I’ve had the privilege of working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments, ensuring they receive not just exercise and care, but also the attention they deserve. My commitment to safety, positive reinforcement, and building trust with each dog has helped me form strong, lasting relationships with both pets and their owners.
As a dog groomer, I have honed my skills in grooming techniques, from basic baths to more specialized treatments, always prioritizing the comfort and stress-free experience of the dog. My experience in grooming allows me to spot potential health concerns and offer tailored advice to dog owners to maintain their pets’ overall wellness.
Whether walking, grooming, or providing general care, I always strive to offer the highest quality service and ensure each dog’s happiness and safety. I offer my dog walking and grooming services throughout the beautiful Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. Whether you're in Bondi, Coogee, Tamarama, or surrounding areas, I’m happy to provide personalized care for your dog in familiar and safe surroundings. My local knowledge and passion for the area allow me to tailor my services to the needs of your pet while making sure they have an enjoyable experience."I am available at short notice."
Have a great day!

Animal lover with an extensive experience as a dog walker and sitter.
Caring for dogs has always been a passion of mine, and I take pride in providing both the pets and their owners with exceptional service.
During my time walking and sitting dogs in Ireland, I built strong relationships with both the animals and their families. Owners frequently expressed how happy they were with my care, often noting the genuine bond I formed with their pets.
The dogs I looked after were always treated like family, with plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. Walks were tailored to each dog's energy levels and needs, whether it was a leisurely stroll or an active, fun-filled outing. When I cared for dogs in their homes, I ensured they felt comfortable and loved, sticking to their routines and providing lots of playtime and cuddles.
The best feedback came from the dogs themselves, many were so happy during my care that they didn't want to leave when it was time to say goodbye. My goal has always been to make every dog feel safe, happy, and cherished, and I would love the chance to do the same for your furry friend!
Services: Walks and dog sitting
Due to my current house contract, I can only provide pet sitting in your house.

Taking care of animals has always been a passion of mine, it's so rewarding to know I can bring comfort and happiness to pets while their families are busy or away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family members and I always treat every pet as if they are my own.
I have previous experience working as a pet sitter while I was living in the UK. I got to care for all kinds of pets, from energetic pups who love long walks to cuddly cats who just want a little extra attention. I learned a lot about keeping pets happy, safe and healthy.
Whether it's dog walks, daily visits, overnight stays or special care for senior or shy pets, I'm here to help! I love getting to know each pet's unique personality, and my goal is always to make sure they feel loved and comfortable.
For me, pet sitting isn't just a job; it's something I genuinely enjoy doing.

I am a 27-year-old woman with a lifelong passion for animals, having grown up surrounded by them. From an early age, I developed a natural ability to care for cats, dogs, and even horses. My attentive and patient nature allows me to be highly responsive to the specific needs of each animal, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and well looked after.

As I grew older, I extended my care to other people’s pets, gaining extensive experience with cats, dogs, and horses. My responsibilities have included feeding, walking, playing, grooming, and closely monitoring their overall health and well-being. Whether your pet requires companionship during the day or supervision overnight, I am adaptable and available to meet their needs at any time.

When it comes to dogs, I have worked primarily with larger breeds such as German Shepherds, so I am comfortable handling pets of any size or breed.

Hi, I am Fran from Italy, quality guarantee :).
Engineer background, I like to define myself as a bundle of vitality, determination and grit.
I love animals in general but dogs especially French bulldogs get my heart melted down. I like also cats and I owned one in the past. I am an active and sporty person, so I don't mind if you have a naughty furry that needs to be kept busy or a laid-back one, I am more than happy to follow their needs and enjoy their pure love and energy.
I would prefer to take care of small-medium dogs and of course, Frechies are in the first place, but for sure everyone is welcome and every case will be assessed singularly. I am very happy to take your friend for a walk, play with them, get their daily care done and keep everything always at high standards level.
I am a person very attentive to details and well-organised, so don't worry to have things done in time and perfectly.

Being a Pet sitter would be an amazing experience to spend time with creatures that love unconditionally and represent a therapy for happiness.

Till now I have done pet sitters purely as a favour for friends and I will keep the same pleasure to do it as a service.
