Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Tewantin QLD Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Tewantin QLD cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Tewantin QLD cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Hi there! My name is Pia

I’m 23 years old, from Argentina, currently in Australia on a Working Holiday Visa. I’m a qualified psychologist and previously worked in two primary schools as a psychologist and therapeutic companion, which helped me develop strong skills in patience, responsibility, and understanding different personalities, qualities that I also bring to pet care.

Animals have always been a big part of my life. I have my own dog, Milo, and in Argentina I regularly rescued dogs and cared for them in foster homes until they were adopted. Through these experiences I’ve handled feeding routines, daily walks, basic training reinforcement, administering medication, vet visits, grooming, and of course lots of playtime and affection.

Safety is very important to me, so I always follow owners’ instructions carefully, keep dogs on leash when required, and ensure they are supervised and comfortable at all times.

Pet owners can expect clear communication, reliability, and regular updates with photos if desired. My goal is to make pets feel relaxed, loved, and secure while their owners are away.

I truly miss being around animals and would love the opportunity to care for your dog as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend!

Animals are my world
Love caring for people’s pets like I would want my pets cared for.
Means the world to me to look after your pet like my own.
I have been in your situation many times and only wanted the best for my pets. So here I am to offer honest, passionate, loving care to your pet.
caring for animals of all sizes -
I have an Australian Kelpie named Shadow and of course she is amazing. I have had many dogs and a cat , bird , fish from a young age to current. It's not the experience you need as such , it's the love, kindness and passion that makes a perfect carer of all animals.
I could write an essay but prefer to meet in person and can chat all we need.
Look forward to meeting your pet/s

Please don't hesitate. Your pet will be well loved.
Rachel

Hi! I’m Ana Pereira, and I have a 9-year-old beagle, Sasha. Her special personality has taught me so much about patience and pet care. I love getting to know each animal’s unique character and making sure they feel safe and happy.
Over the years, I've had fishes, dogs, cats and a bunny.
My boyfriend has a lovely cat (Cookie) so I'm also used to taking care of him.
I often look after the pets of friends and family when they’re away, giving me experience with dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments. I usually bring them to my own house so that they have company and fun all day!
Currently I am looking for a job, so I can spend plenty of time walking, playing, and cuddling pets throughout the day. My house is safe and pet-friendly, and we have parks nearby perfect for fun walks and outdoor play.

Hi my name is Adrien, I am 24 years old. In France I have 3 dogs a French bulldog and 2 malinois. I love animals that's why I'm applying as a dog walker.
Always a lover of animals, I offer my services as a dog walker with kindness, energy and reliability. Whether you have a lively puppy or a calmer companion, I adapt to each character to offer tailor-made walks, combining exercise, games and moments of relaxation.

I am in Australia with a Working Holiday Visa, available on weekdays at 4 pm and weekends (all day), in a flexible radius according to your needs. Patient, punctual and attentive, I ensure the safety and well-being of your dog every time I go out.

Whether it's for a daily walk, a one-time outing or a complement to your routine, I will be delighted to take care of your four-legged companion as if he were mine. Do not hesitate to contact me to discuss your needs and organize a first meeting!

Dedicated Pet Caregiver with Genuine Animal Love
For as long as I can remember, animals have been an essential part of my life. I’ve always believed that every pet deserves to feel safe, supported, and loved, especially when their owners can’t be there. That belief is my biggest motivation for working in pet care: creating a calm, fun, and genuinely caring environment where pets can follow their routines and feel completely comfortable and understood.

Over the years, I’ve gained experience caring for dogs, cats, and small pets belonging to friends, family, and neighbors. I’ve learned to understand their needs, recognize their unique personalities, and adapt to each one of them with patience and attention. I truly enjoy their little quirks, outdoor walks, and playful moments, but I’m also very responsible when it comes to feeding, hygiene, and overall well-being.

My goal is for every pet to feel happy, safe, and cared for, and for you to feel at ease knowing your companion is in good hands. I’m here to offer attentive, respectful, and dedicated care built on trust and genuine affection every single day with heart. Jjjkhjk

My name is Ellen and I am an 20 year old university student studying a bachelor of nursing. I'm looking to do pet walking or hell throughout the day... no overnights.
I have always loved all dogs big and small and have my own border collie. She loves walks, swims, and snuggles. She is everything to me and seeing her happy brings me joy and makes me feel content.
I wish to be a pet walker as it would fulfil my day to make more pets happy. It's the kind of job that also can work around my busy schedule.
I have house sat and pet sat before for two smaller dogs (a Cavoodle and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel). So I know that I can care for multiple dogs at once.
I am available to get your dog outside and active or just be emotional support while you are away. I can also assist with daily tasks of looking after a pet such as picking up the poop and feeding.

Hi! My name is Karla and I’m a veterinarian from Chile currently living on the Gold Coast.Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I have always shared a deep connection with animals. I grew up with a Labrador and a guinea pig who were part of our family, which taught me responsibility and attentiveness from a young age.My friends regularly trust me with their pets when they travel. I care for Rubi, an affectionate cat who enjoys brushing and calm companionship, and I walk Leo, a young and beautiful Bichon full of energy, practicing safe leash handling and positive reinforcement.I adapt to different temperaments, from playful dogs to shy pets needing patience. With new animals, I take time to build trust gently, respecting their space and observing their behavior cues. I follow each routine carefully, ensure secure environments, and monitor eating, hydration, and mood. In emergencies, I stay calm, contact the owner immediately, and follow veterinary instructions if needed. I also provide regular updates and photos, ensuring safety, comfort, and reassurance.

Hi there!
I have been working as a Holistic Vet Nurse since 2019 and I am loving it!!
I currently have my Mondays off so I thought I could offer my time, love, care and experience to my wider community.
I am a very caring and empathetic person, love spending time with animals and create some real bonding experiences.
I believe in allowing trust and rapport to happen naturally and understand that each individual has its own perks and personality. I am very patient and just wanna give the best time to your pet!
I am also a true cat whisperer so I am not shying away from entertaining and taking care of your kitties if this is needed as well.
I go over and beyond with my patients and I will do the same with your precious pets.
What I offer:
- Dog walking : 1hr of my time with your dog following your specific recommendation. I can pick up your pets to your door and go to their favourite places or adventures to some new ones. The off leash beach isn't far - parks and other bushy area as well. Anything can be discussed depending on your dog's needs.
- Home pet visits: 1hr at home to entertain, cuddle and feed your pet while following their routine and their needs. This keep their mind active and breaks their long day being alone. This avoids boredom and believe it or not, disease!
Looking forward to helping you and your fur babies! xox

️House sitting preferred - I am entirely flexible and can stay for however long️
Hi!
I'm Luka and quite literally everything in my life is centered around animals – whether that be my own kitties, my dad’s dogs or any other animal entering my eyesight.
I do not know what life without pets means and I certainly can't ever imagine living without animals in the future, which is also the reason why my stay here in Australia is becoming a little difficult in some aspects. I am incredibly fascinated by the wildlife and wish to see and experience it as much as possible, but I do miss having a furry friend by my side a lot, which is why I would love helping you whenever you need someone to accompany your pet!
I have never had issues getting along with pets and believe that I can befriend any animal in no time. (You'd think I think I'm a Disney princess.) My goal in life is truly just to spend as much time with animals as I can and one day hopefully own a farm.
I am available pretty much anytime – morning, afternoon, or evening – and am super flexible when it comes to timing. I’d love to offer shorter services like walking your dogs as well as longer services like watching your furfriends when you’re out of town. Anything works for me!
Here’s what I offer:
- Dog walking: Walks usually last between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on your dog's needs. I love walking in parks, nature areas or calm neighborhoods – always making sure your dog feels safe and gets the right amount of activity.
- Home visits: I’ll spend plenty of time with your pet to feed, cuddle, play or just hang out (typically 30–60 minutes or longer if needed). I'm also happy to water your plants, bring in the mail, or do anything else that helps while you're away – just let me know!
- House sitting: I can absolutely stay at your home while you're away to make sure your pets are comfortable in their usual environment. I take home security seriously – locking up properly, keeping everything in order, and making the place look lived-in (lights, blinds, bins, etc.).
- Medication & grooming: While I’m not a professional groomer or vet, I can help with basic grooming like brushing and bathing if needed, and I’m comfortable administering simple medications as long as instructions are clear.
Since I don’t have a place of my own right now (I’m staying in hostels and hotels while traveling), I unfortunately can’t host animals myself – but I’m more than happy to come to you.
So, whether it’s a walk, a cuddle session, feeding time or overnight care – I’d love to be there for your furry family member. Just send me a message and we’ll work it out together!️

Hey there! I’m Maria, an animal lover from Argentina with years of experience caring for pets of all kinds.
My pet sitting journey began when several family members were away on holidays and needed someone to care for their pets at their homes. I’ve also provided pet sitting services in Townsville, looking after our landlord’s dog during her work trips.
Pet sitting is my passion because I believe every furry friend deserves love, attention, and care, just as I would give to my own. Whether it’s taking your dog for a fun walk, providing feeding and playtime visits, or staying overnight to keep your pets company, I’m here to ensure they feel happy, safe, and loved while you’re away. I’m reliable, organized, and dedicated to treating your pets and home with the utmost care and respect.
Let’s chat about how I can help!

Hey! My name is Sheryl. I have been an animal lover for as long as I can remember, growing up surrounded by both cats and dogs. My lifelong experience with pets has given me a deep understanding of their needs, behaviors, and emotions. I am especially skilled in caring for anxious or nervous animals, as my professional background in psychology allows me to recognize stress signals and create a calm, reassuring environment for them.
My top priority is always the well-being, comfort, and safety of the pets I care for. Whether it is providing companionship, ensuring they get enough exercise, or simply making sure they feel safe and loved, I go above and beyond to meet their needs. I understand that every pet is unique, so I tailor my approach to suit their individual personality and preferences.
If you are looking for someone who will treat your pet with kindness, patience, and the utmost care, I would be honored to help.
