Top cities for cat sitting in Australia

Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Tallebudgera QLD Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Tallebudgera QLD cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Tallebudgera QLD cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Hi! I’m Celine, 23, currently living on the Gold Coast (Burleigh Waters) on a Working Holiday Visa. I work part-time as an assistant and absolutely love animals and nature.
I offer dog walking, doggy day care, home visits (once or twice a day), and house sitting. I’m an outdoorsy, calm, and patient person, so I adapt easily to each pet’s personality—whether they enjoy long walks and playtime or simply need quiet company and cuddles.
I have experience caring for both dogs and cats of different ages, sizes, and temperaments. The pets in my photos are my own, and I have been around animals my whole life. I’m comfortable with daily routines, feeding, fresh water, administering basic care, cleaning up after pets, playtime, walks, and giving lots of love and attention. I also understand the importance of keeping pets safe, maintaining their routines, and making them feel comfortable while their owners are away.
I live in a clean, calm, pet-friendly home with outdoor space, which is perfect for daytime care, and I’m very respectful and tidy when staying in other people’s homes. I’m happy to send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.
I’m reliable, responsible, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always strive to create a safe, loving, and stress-free environment for them.
Feel free to reach out—I’d love to meet you and your furry friend and see if we’re a good fit!

Hello! My name is Harley and I’m originally from Manchester, England. I’ve spent much of my life living abroad in Asia, where my family and I rescued and adopted many street dogs and cats. I’ve been lucky to care for animals of all ages, sizes and temperaments, and I currently come from a home with four cats and two dogs, so caring for animals is truly part of my everyday life.
Over the past several years I’ve provided pet sitting, dog walking and in-home care for families in Bali, Thailand and Sydney. This includes feeding, walking, playtime, companionship, and maintaining routines so pets feel relaxed and safe while their owners are away.
In Bali, I also spent time learning handling and behaviour techniques from a local dog trainer who had worked with Cesar Millan. This helped me better understand dog body language, calm energy, and how to approach dogs in a way that builds trust, especially with nervous or reactive pets.
I’m very mindful that every pet has a different personality. Some are energetic and playful, others are shy or anxious, and some just want quiet company. When I meet a pet, I take time to read their behaviour and adjust my approach so they never feel rushed or threatened.
I also have hands on experience giving pets tablets and applying creams and oils when needed. For example, I have regularly given my own dog oral tablets and applied topical treatments to his fur and skin, always gently and calmly to keep him relaxed.
One of my favourite pet sitting memories was caring for two cats and a dog in Bali. After feeding them, walking the dog and spending time playing and grooming them, all three ended up curled up around me on the couch, completely relaxed and happy. Moments like that are why I love doing this.
I offer dog walking, house sitting and pet sitting, drop in visits, feeding and playtime, and companionship and routine care.
I cover areas all across the Gold Coast and can also travel to select areas past Coomera. I’m available Monday to Friday from 2pm onwards, and with notice I can sometimes be available earlier in the day.
Your pet’s safety and wellbeing always come first. I make sure dogs are walked securely, routines are followed, homes are respected, and pets receive plenty of attention, exercise and care.
I’d love to meet you and your pet. Feel free to reach out to arrange a meet and greet anytime

Hi there! I’m Hannah — an absolute pet lover
I’ve grown up with many pets and now feel very lucky to have a job caring for other people’s furry family members while they’re away.
At the moment I can’t have a cat or dog of my own, so pet sitting is truly a treat for me. I love lending a hand by visiting, staying with, or walking pets for those who are busy with work, away on holiday, or just need an extra set of caring hands.
I’ve been pet sitting for almost 10 years and have excellent references. Please reach out and I can share these with you - as I know trust is so important when it comes to your pets.
Please feel free to send through any questions — it’s always a pleasure to meet and care for your pets!
I look forward to hearing from you,
Hannah

I’m an 18-year-old student with a flexible schedule, which means I can easily work around your pet’s routine. On a typical day, I balance my study with pet care, so I’m available for morning, afternoon, and evening visits or walks from 4pm on Monday to Friday. I am available all weekend from 4pm Friday.
I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, whether that’s going for walks, playing, or just keeping them company. I make sure pets are fed, safe, and comfortable, and I’m always happy to give them extra attention and affection so they feel relaxed while you’re away.
I take a calm, patient approach with nervous pets, letting them adjust at their own pace and building trust without forcing interaction. I can administer basic medication carefully following instructions, and I monitor pets for any changes in behaviour or health. I provide regular photo and message updates so you know your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. In an emergency, I stay calm, contact you immediately, and follow your preferred plan or seek veterinary care if needed.
I have over a year of hands-on experience working in a pet hotel, where i cared for a wide range of animals every day. This included feeding, cleaning, supervising playtime, and handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments, from small breeds to large, strong dogs.
I also have plenty of personal experience, having grown up with animals in my home. I’ve cared for everything from small cats to a big, energetic Boxer, so I understand how to handle different personalities and energy levels. I'm responsible, reliable, and happy to follow and specific instructions you have to make sure your pet gets the love and care they need!🫶🏼

Hello! My name is Eduarda, and I am a passionate and dedicated pet sitter with over three years of experience caring for pets in the Netherlands. I truly love spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, calm, and loved while their owners are away.
I have experience with pets of different personalities and needs, including energetic dogs, shy or anxious pets, puppies, and senior animals. I always adapt my approach—for example, I give nervous pets extra time and space to build trust, while making sure high-energy dogs get enough exercise and stimulation.

My services include dog walking, home visits, and companionship. My walks usually last between 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your dog’s needs and energy level. During visits, I make sure pets are fed, exercised, and given plenty of attention and affection.

I carefully follow each pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, dietary requirements, and any special instructions such as medication if needed. I also keep owners updated with regular messages, photos, and videos so you can feel reassured while you’re away.

For house sitting or home visits, I make sure your home is respected and kept tidy, and I maintain your pet’s usual routine to reduce stress and keep things familiar.

For the safety of all pets, I only accept vaccinated animals.

My goal is to provide a calm, reliable, and loving environment so your pet feels comfortable and happy—and you can have complete peace of mind knowing they are in good hands.

Hi! I'm offering dog walking services and home visits for mornings! Perfect for owners that are out the door for work early. I live with 2 dogs currently and look after them daily, however they're too old to be taken out, so I'm missing that! I have grown up with dogs in my childhood home also, so am very comfortable with them. I am a very early riser, up at 5:30 every morning and love to go on walks every day before work, so thought why not add a furry companion! I start at 11:30 every day so can offer my services from 5:30am - 10:30am.
I am currently not taking dogs into my home as I am a renter, but am available for home visits and walks. I have previous experience in this back home in the UK, and have now decided to carry on here as I love meeting new pets everyday, a passion until I have my own!

Hey!!! My name is Jean and I love animals, from the process of feeding and walking them to understanding and analyzing the behavior of our pets, which will help reverse aggressive behavior to make our little friends very friendly and loved without any fear of some other person. If the training service is not required to make our friend more docile, I will be happy to take care of him and become good friends. No matter the size or age, I will be very aware of our friend and in communication with his owner whenever required.I am not only fond of dogs, but also of cats.I currently left my dog George in Peru and I am in Australia wanting to provide all that affection that is absent for the moment to his dog that I will have in charge, he will never lack attention and affection as well as distraction on the walks that I will take with them.I have availability in the afternoon and evening since 1pm until 9pm, either walking your cocky guy or staying home with your cocky guy and I will be reporting to you every 30 minutes on the status of your pet.I can walk your conceited person around his home or as you let me know the places where he usually walks.I can offer training to your cocky if you let me know.

As a mature individual with 10 years of experience in animal health, I bring reliability, knowledge, and a deep love for animals to every walk. I understand that each dog has unique needs, and I tailor my approach to ensure they get the right balance of exercise, enrichment, and care.
I understand that the dog is a very important member of the family and I will take extra care to ensure they enjoy a great walk but kept safe.
Please don't worry if it's a last minute decision as more often I can accommodate the request.
As I have a relevant police check spending time with a dog in the owners home is not an issue and can easily accomodate.
As someone that lives right on the beach this is the place I love to interact and the ball or stick play a large role in the amount of fun we both enjoy
