I'm an experienced pet sitter and currently work as a pet care attendant in a kennel. Before this I was a professional dog walker for many years and worked in a pet store. I currently hold a Cert II in Animal Studies.
I'm a lifelong pet owner. We rescued our greyhound five years ago and we've loved every moment of watching him settle into pet life. 
Now that me and my partner have upgraded from an apartment to a townhouse with a grassy backyard, we have a bit more room to fill with dogs. We both work full time however we alternate our shifts so King isn't alone for too long in a day.
For pet minding, we are only accepting vaccinated dogs and dogs that are up to date on their flea tick and worming treatments and dogs that will get along with our greyhound. This means no puppies and no super high energy dogs that will want to play constantly. (King's rules not mine).

- Walks and exercise: We walk dogs once or twice a day, depending on their energy levels and needs. We often visit a quiet, secure dog park just around the corner which is usually empty and perfect for off-leash time and fetch. For dogs who are anxious, reactive, or not yet desexed, we're happy to do individual walks instead. 
- Training: We use every outing as a chance to reinforce good habits. We're happy to support basic training like lead manners, sit/stay/recall, toilet routine, and socialisation (with positive reinforcement... treats!). 
- Grooming: Hany is a professional mobile dog groomer and can provide gentle grooming. This includes bathing, drying, brushing, coat care, nail trimming, and hygiene tidy-ups. This can be added to your booking by request. 
- Medication: We are confident and experienced in administering all common types of medication, including oral meds, eye/ear drops, creams, and dietary support. We also have experience in handling special needs, emergencies, and vet communication when needed. 
- Emergency-ready: We stay calm and clear-headed in emergencies as we have the contacts, transport, and procedures in place just in case. We treat every pet with the same urgency and care as we would our own. 
- Experience: While we usually only care for no more than 2-3 dogs at a time to keep things calm and personalised, we've cared for up to 8 dogs at once and are experienced in managing group dynamics. We've also provided long-term in home stays (up to 6 weeks at a time) for owners travelling overseas, with regular updates and full responsibility for their pets and homes. 

Time Spent with Pets: 
We prioritise supervision and comfort for your (and our) pets: 
- Your pet will not be left alone for more than 1-2 hours at a time. 
- I (Elli) study Forensic Science but only attend uni once a week. The rest is from home. 
- Hany works locally as a mobile dog groomer and is home frequently between jobs. 
- There is always someone home, so your pets are supervised and cared for 24/7. 

Pet care fits easily into our routine, and spending time with animals is our passion and the highlight of our day. We're both flexible and available throughout the week and weekends, including public holidays and last-minute bookings. 

Our Home Environment: 
We live together in a two-bedroom granny flat (owned by Hany), which is cosy, clean, and fully pet friendly. It's a calm environment where pets can relax and feel at home. 
We have a fully-fenced backyard, and while it's on the smaller side, it's secure and safe for supervised play, toilet breaks, and sunbathing. To make sure that your pets get plenty of stimulation, we spend lots of time at the dog park around the corner, where they can run freely etc. we're often there for between 1-2 hours depending on the dogs energy levels. 
Inside our home, your pets are welcome to sleep wherever they feel comfortable, whether it’s a dog bed, lounge, my bed, or crate you provide. 
We live together (just the two of us), along with our own pet family (listed in our profile). We're careful to match guest pets with compatible companions and introduce them slowly and carefully with meet and greets. 
We're more than happy to seperate pets if needed, and we tailour the environment around your pet's behaviour and comfort level. If a meet and greet doesn't go well or if we feel the dynamic wouldn't be a good fit, we will always put the needs and safety of the pets we are caring for first.

Updates and Communication: 
We enjoy sending regular photos/videos and cute little updates so you can relax knowing your pet/s are happy, healthy, and having fun (and for our own enjoyment).

I've loved animals since I was a child and even had pet chicks when I was little, if it was up to me I'd live on a farm with all my animals . I also am able to assist with allergies as my boys have allergies and know how to cater to them. Also have experience with Dogs who are aggressive because of their anxiety, I know how to navigate and take care of your fur baby safely, for example one of my boys was bullied at a dog park while I was visiting my father internationally who was ill, and I came back to an anxious aggressive dog. So with his trainer I was able to learn how to safely walk and cater to my boys needs when he's feeling uncomfortable in situation so please feel free to reach out as I know when I was looking for someone to take care of my boy I wasn't able to find anyone who specialised or had experience with it so don't be afraid to ask.&nbsp;

Hello, my name is Sharon. I am a 56 yr old Registered Nurse. I live by myself with 2 Jack Russell Terriers and more than 20 Chickens. 
I love animals and can't live without them. I grew up with dogs, cats, birds &amp; horses.
I recently loss my regular house sitter who's a mate of mine so I had to find an alternative. This is how I found Pawshake. I found it so difficult to find someone in my area. Hence I decided I'd become a sitter too so we can all get the opportunity to go away when we need to. 
Background wise, I have had a constant pet since I was 17. 2 cats. 3 Jack Russell's. Now there's a handful. While I had the 3 Amigos (my nickname for them), I also fostered medium to large dogs for Fetching Dogs. I'm also crazy about chickens &amp; currently have 26 gals. 
All my babies have lived to ripe old ages. My current gal Cheeky, is 15 1/2 yrs. 
As a registered nurse I have experience in giving medications and can do for your pet if needed.
I am happy to do home visits for you. Dog walking &amp; overnight stays if needed.

Pet Sitting/Visits
My House is fully secure with high 7ft fences and a sectioned off area for dogs. I have a large backyard where a dog can easily get into a full sprint. I enjoy hosting all kinds of dogs and only allow dogs that are well behaved and socialised. All dogs receive around the clock attention, walks, grooming if needed, random training sessions in the day, basically what my own dog gets.&nbsp;
No extra costs for grooming/training/walks. I will pickup and drop off your pets. Depending on distance, an small extra fee may apply.&nbsp;

Dog Walking
I also run regular dog walks both groups and solo.&nbsp;
Group walks mean your dog will be paired with any other dog I have scheduled for the day, as for solo walks, they are an option, but cost more. All walks are max 45 minutes unless a custom arrangement is made.
