I am a retired police woman recently relocated to Canberra from Victoria.&nbsp;
I love dogs more than people and also have a soft spot for cats, rabbits and guinea pigs but I am open to looking after most animals. I have two large dogs of my own and have previously had cats, rabbits and fish. I am married and have been with my husband for over twenty years. We do not have children; our dogs are our furbabies.&nbsp;
I am unable to care for pets in my home as my two pooches would not appreciate it! I am very active and love walking, my two dogs are out for at least an hour a day.&nbsp;
I can handle dogs of any size, as my two are a large American staffy cross bulldog and a dingo cross kelpie, and they never seem to want to walk in the same direction.&nbsp;
Two of my dogs have been rescue animals and I have experience working with reactive dogs and believe I have a great understanding of dog behaviours.&nbsp;
I have had animals for over thirty years, and I have been looking after friends' and family members' animals for the past year.&nbsp;

I have a Central Bearded Dragon named Tigger, who I am fully responsible for, from feeding, washing, cleaning her enclosure, and buying her food. Let's not forget all those fun adventures I have with her in our apartment's courtyard and the costumes I create for her! My brother owns 2 very cute rats, Lily and Bicky, when he is away I care for them and give them very yummy and nutritious meals. I also have more experience then most reptile owners as I have volunteered at Canberra Reptile Zoo in Nicholls, earning me Costumer Services skills and key reptilian knowledge. I also had to learn a lot of random facts to tell the parties of little kids.If you can't tell already I have a passion for pets, learning as much about them and treating them perfectly. I want to walk your pets as I absolutely love exploring new paths, (metaphorically and literally,) making the most of the day and I know the best doggy lakes, dog parks and relaxing routes for your furry friend! As I am experienced in pet care from my family, I am ready to visit your pet everyday when you are away. I can easily treat your pet with respect, care and make sure you don't have to worry when you're on holiday.

I am in my early 40's and an avid dog lover (completely dog obsessed). I have over five years' experience as a volunteer dog walker and have been lucky to have my own fur babies for a decade. At present, I have one gorgeous dog who is very dog and people friendly.&nbsp;
I am confident at walking, visiting and pet sitting dogs of any size and temperament. They're all beautiful to me!  I am able to feed, administer oral medication and take care of any other needs your fur baby may have. I believe that dogs are angels on Earth and deserve to be treated like gold, and my aim is to treat your dogs as my own while I'm caring for them.&nbsp;My motivation for becoming a dog sitter - I love being around and caring for doggos!!

I am an animal lover who is absolutely dog obsessed; I am the type of person that needs to say hi and pat all of the dogs I pass by on the street. 
Since a young age I have always had a dog and other pets in my life before moving to Australia and since I unfortunately don't have any pets of my own at this moment I love to spend time with other people's pets. 
Despite being new to Pawshake I have been pet sitting and dog walking for over 8 years. With all of this experience I have gained the skills to adapt to each animals individual needs to ensure that they feel safe and loved during their times with me. 
I'm also a very active person and like to keep fit so I love having some company on my walks. 
I have moved to Canberra about 8 months ago for a change of scenery and at this stage I am offering pet sitting in the pet's home, dog walking and daily home visits to keep your pets happy while you're away. I know how hard it is to go away without your pets so I always make sure to update owners with pics of their happy fur friend while they're in my care.

Our pets are often our greatest sources of smiles and affection, and in my home I've got 16 of them (3 Dogs, 6 Cats, 7 Bunnies). I'm experienced within complicated dynamics of heirarchy and pet "separation", as I have this at home and know extremely important these things are. Additionally experienced with catering for dietary/allergy/medically sensitive feeding and environmental requirements, and cuddles galore is always on offer for those big and small lovelies who want some company!
