Top cities for cat sitting in Australia

Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Mudgeeraba QLD Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Mudgeeraba QLD cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Mudgeeraba QLD cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and becoming a pet sitter feels like a natural extension of that lifelong love. I genuinely enjoy spending time with all sorts of animals but specifically dogs. I understand how important it is for pet owners to feel confident and comfortable when leaving their pets in someone else’s care. My motivation to be a pet sitter comes from wanting to provide pets with the same level of love, patience, and attention that they receive from their own families.
I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, happy, and understood, especially when their owners are away. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, routine, and individual needs, whether that means energetic walks, quiet companionship, playtime, or extra cuddles. I am attentive, reliable, and calm, which helps pets feel relaxed and secure in my care.
Pet sitting is more than just a service to me — it is something I am truly passionate about. I am going to university to study to become a zookeeper/animal carer. Knowing that I can give owners peace of mind while ensuring their pets are well cared for is incredibly rewarding. I treat every animal as if they were my own and take pride in providing compassionate, trustworthy, and dedicated care at all times.

I’m a recently graduated Veterinary Technology student with 2–3 years of hands-on experience working in the veterinary industry back home in Singapore. I’ve spent plenty of time around animals and truly love being in their company.
Caring for our furry friends brings me so much joy, and simply spotting a dog on a walk can brighten my whole day.
If you're unable to walk your pet for any reason, I’d be more than happy to step in. I can take your pet on enriching walks where they can enjoy the outdoors, engage in some fun sniffing, and stretch their legs in a safe and loving environment.
I’ll care for your furry companion as if they were my own—offering them attention, protection, and lots of love. All I ask is that you provide a leash and some poo bags, and let me know a bit about your pet’s personality. Every animal is unique, just like people, and knowing their quirks helps me tailor the experience to what they love most.
Thank you for considering me to walk your beloved pet. I hope to bring plenty of tail wags, happy trots, and joy to their day!

Heyy:) My name is Sophie. I moved to the Gold Coast recently and am looking for furry friends. Since I was a child, I loved animals. I always deeply respected their space and admired their different characters and ways of being. When I was younger, I had guinea pigs and rabbits and I used to walk dogs that lived on the street regularly. I loved taking care of the pets of friends and always did so reliably.I know that every animal has different needs and am flexible to adhere to them according to your preferences. It is easy for me to follow orders, thus I will surely fulfill what is best for your pet.I am flexible with times, so I am sure that we can find optimal slots that suit you and me. I do not have any animals myself at the moment. I can´t wait to meet you and your pet and be there for them while you are away.

Hi there! I’m an active and dependable "senior" with a love for the outdoors and an energetic disposition. Having grown up with dogs and cats, I’ve had a lifetime of experience with our furry friends. Currently, I share my home with a lovable Amstaff named Shadow—he can be a handful, but nothing I can’t handle. Before Shadow, I had two Amstaffs who were with me for 11 and 12 years. They both developed medical issues so I'm proficient in administering medications. Their loss was heartbreaking, and I truly believe life isn’t the same without animals.
I've recently relocated to the Gold Coast from Melbourne and miss all my friends, both human and animal. I'm eager to meet new people and offer my pet care services. As a shift worker who primarily works from home, I can easily adjust my schedule to care for your beloved pets any day of the week and time.
Back in Melbourne, I frequently cared for the pets of friends, family, and neighbors while they were on holidays or whenever they needed a helping hand due to illness or other commitments. No pet is too big or too small—I’m happy to care for them all.
I'm currently able to offer dog walking (30-45mins) and home visits (30-45mins) where if required I can feed and play with the pets, water plants, check the home is safe and secure, bring in the mail, put bins out and any general duties that may be required.

Hey! I’m 26 Gold Coast raised and a huge dog lover who’s always had a soft spot for all animals. Growing up, I was the go to pet sitter for family and friends whether it was walking their pups, feeding their cats, or just hanging out and keeping their pets company. Being around animals has always felt natural to me, and I love getting to spend my time with them.
Looking to house and dog and cat sit, I'm self employed so I'm able to spend longer times with your pet if needed. I'm love taking my sister's pups to the beach and can certainly take yours if they are as well behaved haha.
I’m an honest, reliable person who truly gets how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone. When your pet is with me, you can relax knowing they’re in good hands, getting all the attention, playtime, and cuddles they need. I’ve looked after dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments, and I always take the time to make sure each pet feels comfortable and happy.
I’m excited to meet you and your pet and make sure they feel right at home while you’re away!

A pomey who is lucky enough to call the Gold Coast her home
After leaving my beloved Cavapoo in the UK under the watchful eye of her grandfurmama, I'm looking to get my doggy fix from all your lovely pooches it's not a want... it's a NEED! #helpme #dogfixtohealmyheart
I have A levels in animal management (all be it, college was a very long time ago... ), and an infectious love for anything with four legs and I dare say it, I'm yet to meet a doggo that hasn't fallen as much in love with me as I have them
I am very outgoing and love to walk, run and hike and I'm always looking for new places to explore ️ and your fluffy friend could be joining me on new adventures as I get to know the Gold Coast even better! ️
I am prepped and ready with my favorite trainers, I just need a walking buddy or two! I look forward to hearing from you soon ️
