Top cities for cat sitting in Australia

Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Mooroolbark VIC Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Mooroolbark VIC cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Mooroolbark VIC cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

I have always had a deep love and respect for animals, especially dogs and cats, and becoming a pet sitter allows me to share that passion while providing peace of mind to pet owners. Pets bring joy, comfort, and companionship, and I enjoy being someone they can trust to feel safe, happy, and relaxed while their owners are away. My goal is to provide loving, attentive care that feels just like home.

I grew up with a family dog and have owned many cats over the years, which taught me patience, responsibility, and the importance of routine, affection, and trust. I am currently pet-free, so I am excited to give other pets my full attention and care. I am confident administering medication, including both oral and injectable medications, and I am comfortable caring for pets with special needs.

I offer dog walking, 30-minute home visits, twice-daily visits, daytime care at my home, and 24-hour in-home stays. During visits or stays, I follow each pet’s usual routine, providing feeding, exercise, play, cuddles, and mental stimulation. I keep owners updated with photos and messages, and I am trained to remain calm and handle emergencies professionally if they arise.i can be available at any time of day to suit your needs. I welcome all pets, vaccinated or not, and treat every animal with kindness, patience, and respect. My motivation as a pet sitter is simple: I want pets to feel safe, loved, and happy, and owners to feel confident knowing their furry family members are in caring hands.

Hi, my name is Skye, I’m 19 and I’ve recently moved to Melbourne!
I’ve grown up surrounded by animals of all shapes and sizes, from big Staffies and small Ragdoll cats to rabbits, birds and even reptiles. I’ve always loved caring for animals, but dogs will always have a special place in my heart. ️
I’m comfortable around different breeds, sizes and personalities. I’m happy to care for larger dogs in the home, however, I’m currently unable to walk larger dogs on my own.
Dog Walking
I can offer walks anywhere from 15 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your dog’s needs, energy level and routine.
For larger dogs, I’m happy to provide home visits, playtime and companionship, but I’m unable to take them for walks. I’m also happy to follow your dog’s usual walking routine and preferences where possible.
Home Visits
A home visit would include a warm welcome, plenty of pats and attention, playtime and enrichment with their favourite toys, fresh food and water, and making sure they’re comfortable and happy before I leave.
I’m also more than happy to follow any specific feeding, medication, toilet or other routines your pet has.
House Sitting & Sleepovers
For overnight stays, I’ll treat your home and pets with the same care and respect I would my own. I’ll keep your pets company, follow their usual routines, make sure they’re fed and have fresh water, provide playtime and enrichment, and give them plenty of attention and cuddles if they want them.
I understand that every pet is different, so please let me know their usual routine and how long they’re comfortable being left alone. I’m happy to discuss this with you beforehand and work around their needs.
️ My Approach
I’m very patient with animals and understand that not every pet will immediately feel comfortable with a new person. I don’t mind if your pet is shy or nervous. In fact, I find it especially rewarding when I’m able to slowly earn their trust.
If your pets have any special needs, behaviours, medications or routines, please let me know beforehand so I can make sure they receive the proper care they need.
I’d love the opportunity to get to know your furry companions and make sure they feel safe, happy and loved while you’re away!

Hello, my name is Angela, and I provide gentle, reliable in-home visits for cats and dogs.
As a lifelong pet owner and current owner of two cats, I understand how important routine and familiarity are for animals. I am experienced with a range of temperaments, including shy, senior, and anxious pets, and I always approach each visit calmly and patiently, allowing your pet to feel comfortable at their own pace.
During each visit, I follow feeding instructions carefully, refresh water, clean litter trays or check yard areas, and spend quality time with your pet according to their personality and needs. Some pets enjoy play and interaction, while others prefer quiet companionship, and I respect that.
I provide updates with messages and photos so you feel reassured while you are away. If I notice any change in behaviour, appetite, or wellbeing, I will contact you promptly. In the unlikely event of an emergency, I will follow your provided instructions and seek veterinary care if required.
I take home security seriously, ensuring doors, gates, and locks are properly checked before leaving.
Whether you need assistance for one evening, a weekend, or a longer holiday, my goal is to provide steady, thoughtful care so you return to relaxed, well-looked-after pets.

I want to be a dog walker because caring for dogs has always been a huge part of my life. I currently have Cleo my German Shepherd and Suki my Doxiepoo, so I'm experienced with both large, energetic dogs and smaller breeds with big personalities. Growing up, I had Labradors which founded my love for dogs.
I walk my own dogs for at least an hour every day, rain or shine, because I believe it's essential for their physical and mental wellbeing. Living in Melbourne I am used to all conditions and am confident to walk dogs of all sizes and energy levels, I always prioritise their safety and enjoyment.
I can run with young dogs and take a calm stroll with our grey angels. I will come with treats and doggy toiletries.
I am happy to walk your dogs, take them to the park, play fetch. Whatever you feel your dog needs, I will strive to provide.
Dog walking doesn't feel like work to me - it's something I genuinely enjoy and take pride in doing well.
