Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Merrimac QLD Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Merrimac QLD cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Merrimac QLD cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

I’m a recently graduated Veterinary Technology student with 2–3 years of hands-on experience working in the veterinary industry back home in Singapore. I’ve spent plenty of time around animals and truly love being in their company.
Caring for our furry friends brings me so much joy, and simply spotting a dog on a walk can brighten my whole day.
If you're unable to walk your pet for any reason, I’d be more than happy to step in. I can take your pet on enriching walks where they can enjoy the outdoors, engage in some fun sniffing, and stretch their legs in a safe and loving environment.
I’ll care for your furry companion as if they were my own—offering them attention, protection, and lots of love. All I ask is that you provide a leash and some poo bags, and let me know a bit about your pet’s personality. Every animal is unique, just like people, and knowing their quirks helps me tailor the experience to what they love most.
Thank you for considering me to walk your beloved pet. I hope to bring plenty of tail wags, happy trots, and joy to their day!

My name is Aurélie , I'm 32 years old, I'm French and in Australia since 6 years now with my partner Gabriel. I can call Australia, Home now . I’m passionate about animals, nature, and spending time outdoors. I work in the renewable energy field around different project. During my free time, I love crocheting and connecting with animals of all kinds.
I like to be pet sitter because here, I don't have any pet. I got one Bengal in France at the moment.
I’m an ambitious, generous, and attentive person who truly enjoys caring for pets as if they were my own. Whether it’s going for walks, playing, or simply keeping your furry friend company, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you're away.
If you have any enquiries don't hesitate to contact me anytime . It's will be a pleasure to discuss with you.
Thanks , Aurelie

Hello there! My name is Lai , and I am a dedicated animal lover with years of hands-on experience in pet care. Having previously lived in Taiwan, I’ve had the joy of caring for a wide variety of animals, including cats (both domestic and rescues), dogs, birds, and parrots. My passion for animals is a family affair—we all truly cherish the time we spend with our furry and feathered friends.
My Experience & Skills:
I am highly experienced in handling delicate situations, such as caring for newborn pets that require bottle-feeding and constant warmth. I am also very comfortable with administering medication, ensuring your pet’s health remains a top priority. My background with stray cats has taught me patience and how to handle different temperaments with care. To further my commitment, I am planning to enroll in an Animal Care course at TAFE next year to deepen my professional knowledge.
Why Choose Me?
I genuinely enjoy the active lifestyle that comes with pet sitting. Whether it’s long walks or interactive playtime, I make sure your pets get plenty of exercise and stay well-hydrated. My goal is to return your pet to you happy and tired, while ensuring your home remains clean and tidy!
Communication & Safety:
I believe in peace of mind for pet owners. I will provide regular photo and video updates so you can see how your pet is doing. For the safety of my own family and all the pets I care for, I kindly request that all pets visiting my home be fully vaccinated.
I look forward to meeting your beloved pet family and providing them with a "home away from home" experience!

Heyy:) My name is Sophie. I moved to the Gold Coast recently and am looking for furry friends. Since I was a child, I loved animals. I always deeply respected their space and admired their different characters and ways of being. When I was younger, I had guinea pigs and rabbits and I used to walk dogs that lived on the street regularly. I loved taking care of the pets of friends and always did so reliably.I know that every animal has different needs and am flexible to adhere to them according to your preferences. It is easy for me to follow orders, thus I will surely fulfill what is best for your pet.I am flexible with times, so I am sure that we can find optimal slots that suit you and me. I do not have any animals myself at the moment. I can´t wait to meet you and your pet and be there for them while you are away.

Hi there! I’m an active and dependable "senior" with a love for the outdoors and an energetic disposition. Having grown up with dogs and cats, I’ve had a lifetime of experience with our furry friends. Currently, I share my home with a lovable Amstaff named Shadow—he can be a handful, but nothing I can’t handle. Before Shadow, I had two Amstaffs who were with me for 11 and 12 years. They both developed medical issues so I'm proficient in administering medications. Their loss was heartbreaking, and I truly believe life isn’t the same without animals.
I've recently relocated to the Gold Coast from Melbourne and miss all my friends, both human and animal. I'm eager to meet new people and offer my pet care services. As a shift worker who primarily works from home, I can easily adjust my schedule to care for your beloved pets any day of the week and time.
Back in Melbourne, I frequently cared for the pets of friends, family, and neighbors while they were on holidays or whenever they needed a helping hand due to illness or other commitments. No pet is too big or too small—I’m happy to care for them all.
I'm currently able to offer dog walking (30-45mins) and home visits (30-45mins) where if required I can feed and play with the pets, water plants, check the home is safe and secure, bring in the mail, put bins out and any general duties that may be required.

Hey! I’m 26 Gold Coast raised and a huge dog lover who’s always had a soft spot for all animals. Growing up, I was the go to pet sitter for family and friends whether it was walking their pups, feeding their cats, or just hanging out and keeping their pets company. Being around animals has always felt natural to me, and I love getting to spend my time with them.
Looking to house and dog and cat sit, I'm self employed so I'm able to spend longer times with your pet if needed. I'm love taking my sister's pups to the beach and can certainly take yours if they are as well behaved haha.
I’m an honest, reliable person who truly gets how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone. When your pet is with me, you can relax knowing they’re in good hands, getting all the attention, playtime, and cuddles they need. I’ve looked after dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments, and I always take the time to make sure each pet feels comfortable and happy.
I’m excited to meet you and your pet and make sure they feel right at home while you’re away!

You can call me Berni! ;)
I have years of experience with pets (mostly dogs and cats). All my friends and family entrust me with their babies when they go out of town or can't take care of them. I like to go for walks and make them play, or just pet them and be together watching a movie.
Unfortunately last year I lost my dog Lupe and my cat Nahuel, but thanks to that I was able to learn about taking care of sick or old animals. I can give them their medications and be attentive to their mood changes to let you know everithing. I like to update the owners with pictures and I´m always with my phone for any emergency.
I am available every day of the week for now, at any time. I can sleep at your home if you need but I will require a private space and food. I am super responsible and clean, and dont like to leave pets alone at any moment. I am willing to work full time as a pet sitter so I will always find a way to be available for you.
I take not vaccinated pets and I accept only one pet at a time (more if its the same owner).
bonus: I love photography as well so I will probably take pictures of your pet with my camera, and then give them yo you for free!

Hello, animal lovers!
Are you looking for a responsible and caring pet sitter who understands the needs of your furry family memeber? Stop looking, my name is Olatz, and I am here to offer my services and love to your pets to give you peace of mind while you're away. But first let me tell you a bit about me.
I am also a dog owner, so as a proud owner myself, I know how does it feel to leave the care of your dog to another person, and the importance of finding someone that will treat your dog as good as you do. I have a friendly and well trained dog of my own, because we have done years of different training sessions, starting with obedience when he was a puppy and continuing with agility. So this has given me hands-on experience dealing and walking dogs.
I am new in Australia and Gold Coast, so I am currently looking for a job and my love for animals has brought me here.
I offer from walking your dog as long as you tell me (rates vary with the time), house sitting of house visits while you are away. They will be in a caring environment and I will keep you updated with photos.
Your pet's well-being is my top priority and I will make sure they feel comfortable, happy and loved in my care. Feel free to reach out to ask any questions or discuss specific needs. (I have the police check certificate)
I am available all day long, except wednesdays from 7am to 12:30pm. I specifically offer walking dogs, feeding them, paying with them and watching them.
I can stay doing the visit as long as the owner requires, I am flexible and yes I can water the plants and bring the mail too.
The dog walks depend on the owner and the dog, the minimun should be 20 minutes of walking and maximun as long as the owner requires. I would go on the area of the dogs house, menaing that I do not own a car right now so I can not drive them anywhere.
