Hi! My name is Mia I'm 23 years old and I'm an animal lover! From young living in the country we had dogs, cats, bunnies and even chickens! I'm now living in Adelaide and being in a rental I'm not able to have the luxury of owning my own pet. 
I have done many home stays for pet sittings and it's fun to spend time with them so they don't feel alone! I'm honest and trust worthy and will do nothing but the best to make sure your dog or cat is happy and comfortable.

I am currently a 3rd year vet student, that graduated with a diploma in veterinary nursing, and worked in several veterinary clinics in Singapore before choosing to further my studies in Australia. I was responsible for the care of my adopted dog back home, which unfortunately passed away 2 years ago. I would however love to extend the same care and compassion to other pets.&nbsp;

A bit of background on me: After driving my parents crazy by constantly showing up at home with a new animal in need of a loving home, I decided to make the move from South Africa to Adelaide to pursue my passion for animal care in 2019. I have since earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Behaviour and a Certificate III in Dog Behaviour, Psychology and Training.&nbsp;
I've had many different types of pets over my 26 years, and am well versed in handling and caring for all dogs, cats, birds, rodents and reptiles (even the biiig snakes). 
Though I am new to Pawshake, I am certainly not new to the world of pet sitting. I have gained valuable experience working as a pet sitter and doggy daycare attendant for a local business.
Unfortunately, I currently reside in a small apartment, which means I can't have pets of my own or provide boarding services. Within my services I can administer oral medication to pets and teach them various tricks  Feed the pet as necessary. Pets are kept in hygienic conditions: any dirt is cleaned from the pet and the owner is informed of any signs of illness or injury. The length of my home visits depends on how much the owner needs me, the minimum is half an hour. The duration of the walks is half an hour. Usually I make one hour walks with dogs and I could do it with 2 dogs at once if it's necessary.
