Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Laverton VIC Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Laverton VIC cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Laverton VIC cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Hi! My family and I have always loved animals, and they’ve been a big part of our lives. We enjoy having pets around and believe every dog deserves to feel safe, happy, and loved. Caring for animals comes naturally to us, and we understand how important it is to know your pet is in good hands while you’re away.
I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and dog sitting. Whether your dog needs a fun walk, playtime, cuddles, feeding, fresh water, or simply someone to keep them company, I’ll make sure they’re well looked after. I’ll always follow your dog’s normal routine, including feeding times, exercise, medication (if instructions are provided), and any special care they need, helping them feel comfortable and settled while you’re away.
I work from home, so your pet will be supervised for most of the day and won’t be left alone for long periods. A typical day includes toilet breaks, meals if needed, walks, enrichment, playtime, plenty of affection, rest throughout the day, and a calm evening before bedtime. Walks are usually around 30 minutes, but I’m happy to adjust them to suit your dog’s age, fitness level, and individual needs. Whether your dog is full of energy or prefers a quieter, more relaxed routine, I’ll provide the care that suits them best.
My family and I have years of experience caring for dogs of different ages, sizes, and personalities. We’ve successfully cared for multiple dogs at the same time, including four dogs together. We made sure each dog received individual attention, exercise, and plenty of care while keeping everyone safe and comfortable. We understand that every dog is different, so we take the time to learn their personality and what helps them feel relaxed.
When welcoming a new dog into our home, we always introduce them slowly. We allow them to explore at their own pace, become familiar with their surroundings, and only introduce them to other pets when they’re comfortable. This gentle approach helps nervous or shy dogs settle in more confidently.
Our home has a secure, fully fenced yard where dogs can safely play and explore under supervision. We always double-check that gates are securely closed, supervise outdoor time, and keep the environment safe and clean.
Your dog’s safety is always my top priority. While I’ve never experienced a major emergency, I’ve taken the time to learn what to do if one ever occurs. I’ve researched emergency procedures, spoken with experienced pet owners and professionals, and know who to contact and where to go if urgent veterinary care is needed. If I ever have concerns about your dog’s health or behaviour, I’ll contact you straight away and act quickly if veterinary attention is required.
I’ll also keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you can enjoy your time away knowing your furry friend is happy, safe, and well cared for.
I’m reliable, patient, and caring, and I’ll treat every dog as if they were part of my own family. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend and giving them the love, care, and attention they deserve!

Hello!!!I’m someone who genuinely enjoys being around dogs and making sure they feel comfortable, relaxed, and cared for while their owners are away. My home has a large, secure backyard, giving dogs plenty of space to wander, play, or simply enjoy some fresh air. It’s fully fenced and safe, so you can feel confident your dog has room to move around without any worries. I spend a lot of time outside with the dogs, making sure they get attention, supervision, and a chance to enjoy the space in a calm, steady environment.Sharing the space is Leo, my friendly 3‑year‑old Labrador. He’s gentle, well‑mannered, and loves having company.I aim to create a simple, stress‑free experience for both you and your dog. I’m attentive, patient, and happy to follow any routines or preferences your dog is used to. I also provide updates so you can see how your dog is settling in.I’m always happy to answer questions or discuss what your dog needs, and I look forward to offering a comfortable place for them to stay. Here’s a new closing paragraph that keeps the same tone and fits smoothly with the rest of your profile.

Hello pet parents! I'm Elise, and caring for animals is a true passion shared by my entire family. I grow up surrounded by pets and have over 10 years of personal experience caring for dogs. During my university years, a friend and I rescued and cared for stray cats, which taught me deep empathy for feline health, rescue needs, and behavior. Today, my home is happily filled with both cats and dogs.
To give you complete peace of mind, I hold a certified Pet First-Aid qualification, enabling me to stay calm and react quickly in any emergency. I’m also dedicated to positive reinforcement training—my own dog is well-trained, balanced, and friendly with other animals!
What I Offer:
Home Visits (30–60 mins): Fresh food and water replenishment, litter box cleaning, brush/grooming time, play, and photo/video updates.
Dog Walking (30–60 mins): I respect your dog’s natural instincts! During walks, I love letting dogs lead the way to explore their preferred routes and sniff familiar scents comfortably. We usually walk in my quiet local neighborhood and nearby green parks.
Pre-Service Consultation: Before any booking starts, I will ask detailed questions about your pet’s unique personality, daily schedule, dietary needs, medical history, and triggers to ensure a smooth transition.
Safety and harmony are my highest priorities:
Controlled Introductions: I never rush social interactions. Pets are introduced gradually and safely in a controlled, stress-free environment.
Separate Feeding & Living Zones: Pets are always fed in individual, quiet spaces to prevent resource guarding.
Unattended Care & Separation: When direct supervision is unavailable (e.g., when I step out briefly), pets are safely separated into designated comfortable zones using sturdy crates or dedicated rooms, ensuring everyone stays relaxed and harm-free.
Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Pets staying with me or under my care are treated just like family members!
Feel free to reach out—I'd love to meet you and your fur baby soon!

Hi there! I’m Cheyanne – a friendly, responsible animal lover living in Melbourne. I’ve always had a soft spot for animals and grew up around dogs, cats, and even birds. Being away from my own pets while studying here made me realize how much I miss their company, so I started pet sitting for friends and neighbours – and I absolutely loved it!
What motivates me most is the joy and comfort animals bring into our lives. I know how important it is for pet parents to feel confident and at ease while they’re away, and I’m here to provide that peace of mind. Whether it’s cuddles, playtime, walks, or feeding – I treat every pet like my own.
I welcome only vaccinated pets into my home to ensure a safe, healthy environment for all. Your pet’s well-being and happiness are my top priorities!
I offer a range of services depending on what your pet needs. For home visits, I typically stay for around 30–45 minutes, during which I feed your pet, clean up any mess, and give them lots of love and company. I’m also happy to water your plants, bring in the mail, or take care of other small tasks around your home.

If you need dog walking, I usually walk for 30–45 minutes in safe, local areas like nearby parks or quiet streets. For house sitting, I can stay overnight and follow your pet’s usual routine closely while making sure your home remains secure and tidy in your absence.

I’m available most mornings and evenings on weekdays, and I’m flexible on weekends depending on your schedule. I can also administer basic oral medication if needed, though I don’t offer professional grooming or training.

I’d love to hear more about your pet and how I can help. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like to chat before booking. I look forward to meeting your furry friend soon!
