Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Kaleen ACT Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Kaleen ACT cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Kaleen ACT cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Hey, my name is Chelsea and I love all animals but most of all dogs. I have previous experience in looking after and walking friends and family's dogs of all sizes and breeds. I also completed work experience during high school at a pet boarding facility which I enjoyed so much. At this work experience I had to clean, feed, walk, play and hangout all different sizes and breeds of dogs which I am happy to do for your pets as well! I also own a dog myself and she is like my best friend but I will also treat you dog/pets as another one of my best friends! My favourite thing abouts dogs is the connection you have and can build with them as they are truly meaningful and bring me so much joy. As for my types of dogs I will take on I am very happy to all sizes and breeds but I would love a kind dog who is not aggressive towards me.

Hi there! My name is Adarsh, and I am a local student here in Lawson with a deep passion for animal care. Currently, I am studying a Diploma of Community Services, which has instilled in me a strong sense of responsibility, patience, and a genuine desire to support those in my community—whether they have two legs or four! My motivation for becoming a pet sitter is simple: I understand that pets are cherished family members, and their well-being is paramount. I want to offer pet owners in our area the peace of mind that their companions are being looked after by someone who is not only reliable and punctual but also deeply caring. I take great pride in being organized and trustworthy, ensuring that every pet I look after receives attentive care, plenty of enrichment, and lots of love. While I am building my experience, I am confident in my ability to follow specific care routines, handle different temperaments, and provide a safe, nurturing environment for your pet. Whether it’s a refreshing walk, dedicated playtime, or simply checking in on them while you are away, I am committed to treating your pet with the same kindness I would my own.Regarding my home environment, I prioritize safety and health for all pets. To ensure a comfortable experience, I only accept pets that are up-to-date with their vaccinations. I am more than happy to arrange a "meet and greet" before any booking so we can make sure your pet feels completely at ease with me. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend soon!

Having always grown up with animals around in my family, and an (unrealised) childhood dream of becoming a vet, I love any opportunity to care for pets. While I don’t have one myself at the moment, I come from a family of both dog and cat lovers (you don’t have to love only one of them!) and have experience training my family dog up from a young kelpie puppy to a well-trained adult dog.
Overall, I have plenty experience caring for and walking dogs, although I have minimal experience doing this as a ‘job’. As I don't have a dog right now, due to living arrangements, I would love the chance to walk and care for other dogs.
I'm flexible for timings across Friday-Sunday, am a reliable, kind and caring person to all pets alike, and am adaptable to whatever care needs your dog requires.
The opportunity to walk or care for your dog, small or big, young or old, would be my pleasure!

Hey there! I’m Vetz, a big-time animal lover with years of experience and a knack for keeping pets happy, healthy, and entertained.I’m studying a Certificate IV in Animal Behaviour (specializing in Assistance Animals) and have worked at a doggy hotel that offered grooming—so I’ve handled everything from giant floofs to tiny squeakers. Over the years, I’ve cared for all kinds of pets—dogs, cats, rabbits, turtles, guinea pigs, you name it. And I totally get the struggles of being a busy pet owner.I’ve got my own amazing golden retriever, Yoshi, who was supposed to be a toy groodle (surprise!). I’ve been doing dog training for years and know how to handle all kinds of pet personalities. Bonus: as someone with a disability, I understand unique needs and how to make life easier for both you and your furry (or scaly!) friend. Here’s what I’m offering:Fun & Loving Care: Whether you’re at work or on holiday, I’ll pop by to make sure your pet is happy and cared for.Updates You’ll Love: Every visit comes with updates—photos, notes, and maybe even news of a new trick!Your Pet, Your Way: I’ll stick to your routines to keep things stress-free for your little buddy.I’m all about happy pets and happy humans. So if you need someone to check in on your fur (or feather, or scale) baby, I’m your person! Let’s make your pet’s day awesome.
