Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Gymea Bay NSW Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Gymea Bay NSW cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Gymea Bay NSW cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Hello and welcome - I love pets and am available for services in reasonable driving distance.
I enjoy my time with pets. I can do a drop in feeding/company service or pick up and walk service. I can also walk cats in strollers or on harnesses. Open to boarding small dogs and cats as I don't have room for larger dogs but that could change in the near future. A cat or dog stroller would be appreciated so I can take them to a wide range of places and in and out of buildings and we can walk with leashes / harnesses etc in normal places unless your pet prefers the stroller.
I have had regular and repeat pet sitting for over 20 years often back to back at times in a full time capacity.
I can manage very well a house or apartment with 1-2 cats OR 1-2 small-medium-large dogs or security and maintaining the property only. Due to a previous wrist injury I am unable to walk large dogs that don't heel. I prefer retractable leashes if a dog likes to go and sniff various things. I prefer dogs that are well trained and respnd to comands. Most dogs and cats of all breeds are good with me, I have a very calm nature. The shy ones warm up to me quickly.
For house sits - I am not able do pool service or garden/yard service so this can be outsourced and supervised but your pets will be pampered, petted and cared for as if they were my own and excercised.
I can administer medication and have looked after elderly, blind and deaf cats and dogs.
I am a non-smoker, non drinker / nor take drugs/ substances.
*****I would like to Guarantee your peace of mind when you are travelling*****
I feel a connection with animals and am a very calm and confident person and work well under pressure in emergency situations to find the best solution. Shy pets tend to warm up to me quickly.
I have had experience with many types of homes, situations and pets and been through four cyclones/ hurricanes in the US with two being at different house sits while house sitting outside of Australia.
Kindly reach out if you have an assignment with details of tasks needed.
I am located in Rockdale and have a medium sized SUV that would need to be parked to visit.

Hello friends and fellow pet lovers!
I am an experienced petsitter having pet-sat full time with my hubby from February 2023 - August 2024. We only stopped because we fell pregnant! We have plenty of glowing reviews (including from other platforms) that attest to our diligence, professionalism and dedication to your furbabies. We even pet-sat in Paris once! It was great :)
Now that our daughter has arrived the overnight stays are on hold, but I'd love to offer dog walking services / pet home visits. As per when we were petsitting, I look forward to taking care of your pet/s with the utmost care and respect.
I enjoy getting my steps in and just keeping fit generally so will be glad to walk your furbaby. Please note I will be bringing our dog-loving 16 month old daughter along.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Deb and Anna

Hi, my name is Mariana :)
Nice to meet you!
I'm a Brazilian veterinarian and veterinary nurse with 10 years of experience in the field. I've been working as a veterinary nurse in Sydney for almost two years at one of the largest emergency hospitals. My goal is to offer reliable and compassionate pet sitting services.
I'm available in the mornings and afternoons during weekdays (Monday to Friday).
The services I offer include caring for your pet, playing with them, giving them attention, providing fresh food and water, cleaning up after them, and washing their food bowls. For dogs, I can also take them on short walks.
I'm qualified to administer medications, as I am a veterinarian in Brazil and a veterinary nurse in Australia, so I have the necessary knowledge for this. However, I do not offer training or grooming services.
During home visits, I stay around 30 minutes, depending on the pet's needs. I can also water plants and bring in the mail if needed.
I offer dog walking sessions that last 40-45 minutes, choosing safe and pet-friendly areas for walks.
I can’t host pets at my home, but I’m happy to visit your pet in their own environment and take them for walks, play with them, or simply keep them company while you’re away. I ensure that all pets in my care are vaccinated to keep everyone safe. My work is not just about looking after your pet’s basic needs; I also make sure they feel loved and comfortable in your absence.
I understand how important your pet is to you, and I am committed to providing high-quality care with a personal touch. You can feel confident knowing your pet is in experienced and caring hands.

Regards,
Mariana.

Hi lovely 🤍 I naturally connect with animals and truly love the calm, comfort, and joy they bring. I’ve been pet sitting regularly for friends, family, and clients, caring for both cats and dogs in different home environments, so I’m confident adapting to new routines and spaces.

I have experience with a range of pets, including playful puppies, calm adult dogs, independent cats, and more gentle or senior pets who need extra patience and a slower pace. I always take time to understand each pet’s personality and adjust my approach whether that means giving space to a shy pet or providing more activity and engagement for energetic ones.

A typical visit includes checking food and water, cleaning litter or outdoor areas if needed, spending quality time with your pet, and for dogs, a 30–60 minute walk depending on their energy level. I make sure your home stays secure, calm, and exactly how you left it.

I’m attentive and safety-focused I follow your instructions closely, can give basic medication if needed, and stay calm in unexpected situations, contacting you immediately and following your preferred vet instructions if anything arises.

I’m available most days with flexible hours, and I provide regular updates and photos so you always feel at ease 🤍 I only care for vaccinated pets to help maintain a safe environment.

Your pet will always be treated with softness, patience, and genuine care, just like family

I see caring for pets very similarly to the work I currently do in aged care. In my role, I look after people’s grandparents when their families aren’t able to be there, and I understand the level of trust that comes with that responsibility. Families are placing someone they love deeply into my care, and I never take that lightly. It’s the same with pets, they are family. When someone asks me to care for their animal, I treat that responsibility with the same respect, attentiveness, and compassion that I give to the residents I support. I understand how important it is to provide not only physical care, but comfort, safety, and reassurance for both the animal and their owner. Although my formal qualifications are in nursing and caring for people, I have always had a strong passion for working with animals. I have completed paid pet sitting and animal care work through this website, caring for pets while their owners were away. I currently have an 11 year old pug and a 4 month old kitten that I just rescued. I have grown up with a variety of animals including guinea pigs, snakes, and rabbits. I am naturally very gentle, patient, and attentive when caring for animals.

I have hands-on experience in caring for pets within my home, where I have taken responsibility for feeding, grooming, walking, cleaning, and providing companionship to ensure their health and happiness. I am attentive to routines, dietary needs, and behavior changes, always prioritizing the comfort and safety of pets. My experience has taught me the importance of patience, responsibility, and building trust with animals. While my direct experience is home-based, I am passionate about extending my care skills to support other pets and their families. I am reliable, compassionate, and committed to providing quality care, whether it’s playtime, exercise, or ensuring pets feel loved and secure while their owners are away. With strong observational skills, I can quickly identify and respond to pets’ needs, ensuring they remain happy and healthy. I am eager to bring my dedication and enthusiasm into a professional pet care role. I am mostly available evening time.

I’ve always been passionate about animals, and my extensive experience comes from years of hands-on work, including my time with a mobile veterinary service. This role gave me the unique privilege of caring for pets in the comfort of their own homes, creating a stress-free environment that prioritizes their well-being.
Over the years, I’ve developed a deep understanding of the needs of animals of all shapes and sizes. Whether it’s feeding, walking, administering medication, or simply providing a little extra pampering, I’m dedicated to ensuring every furry (and feathered!) family member gets the care and attention they deserve.
Although I’m unable to host pets in my own home, I’m more than happy to visit yours to provide the companionship and care your beloved animals need. You can rest easy knowing they’ll be in the hands of someone who truly loves and understands animals.
Qualifications:
Fully accredited in Animal Psychology and Pet Behaviour.
Certified in Pet First Aid.
Police-checked for your peace of mind.
I’d love to meet your pets and work together to make their lives as happy and stress-free as possible!

I love animals and have my own kitty (Doja) at home, so I have experience in taking care of animals, and love them so much that working with them would be awesome for me! I take public transport to get around so making sure I can get to owners houses is important for me.

• I have experience in taking care of / walking big and small dogs and cats too ‍🦺 I live in Blakehurst and I can offer efficient service at other peoples homes :)

My availability is extremely flexible and can do long periods or short periods of time as needed! Can take care over holidays/public holidays/ any time of year, I can stay overnight anywhere and have experience in house sitting as well and really do enjoy it!!

I’m looking forward to caring for all the sweet little pets I can Or sweet big pets! I can assure you that your sweet babies will feel safe with me!
