Top cities for cat sitting in Australia

Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Golden Beach QLD Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Golden Beach QLD cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Golden Beach QLD cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Hello!
My name is Lauren and I live in Caloundra with my cat Oliver. I work full time during the week and I am free on weekends to be able to walk your dog. I am an avid animal lover, I love all types of animals and if you are looking for someone to call in and check on your pet while you are away I am able to do so also.
I am out walking every weekend, so thought I may as well be out walking and spending time with beautiful dogs who would love a walk.
I have had many dogs throughout my life however, due to living in a small apartment, I am not able to have one at the moment.
If you would like to know more about me, please get in contact and we can arrange to meet first. Thanks for checking out my profile!

I'm a travelling house and pet sitter currently based on the Sunshine coast. I move between housesits and love experiencing new places while caring for people's pets. I'm looking for long-term house sits (5-6 weeks) over christmas and would love to be close to the beach. My services include overnight house and pet sitting, pet feeding, dog walking, and ensuring your home and pets are well cared for while you are away. I am highly reliable, well-organized, and have a genuine love for animals. My goal is to provide peace of mind to pet owners by giving their pets the attention, care, and routine they deserve in a familiar environment.
I’ve done heaps of Housesits in New Zealand and been having a lovely time with different sorts of animals and can provide excellent references. I'm working remotely but still want to enjoy exploring the region but your dog will not be left alone for longer periods. A plus, if i can take your dog with me on trips :) I always send daily updates about your animals including photos and videos. If there are any emergencies i always first check with the owners before i look for other options.
What I’m experienced with:
• small/large dogs, puppies, rescue dogs, high energetic/sensitive animals, cats, rabbits, chicken, medication, playtime beach/garden, simple trick training, physio exercises

Hi! I’m Paula, based in Meridan Plains, and I’d love to help keep your dog happy, active and well cared for while you’re busy or away.
I’m a genuine dog lover with plenty of hands-on experience caring for dogs of different sizes, personalities and energy levels — from small companions to large, strong breeds.
I’m an active person and walking is already a big part of my daily routine, so dog walking is something I truly enjoy. For me, it’s not just about taking your dog around the block — it’s about giving them quality time, exercise, attention and plenty of love along the way.
I understand how important it is to trust the person looking after your pet. I treat every dog with the same care, patience and responsibility I would want for my own.
Whether your dog needs a good energetic walk, some company during the day, or simply a little extra love and attention, I’d be very happy to help.
Feel free to send me a message and tell me a little about your fur baby. I’d love to meet you both!
Looking forward to making some new four-legged friends! ️

I've always loved animals and have been around them my whole life. I've grown up with chickens, ducks, cows and other farm animals, and I've owned a Husky, a Staffy, birds and even a pet snake, so I'm comfortable with pets of all shapes and sizes!
I have experience with puppies, senior pets and anxious animals, and I'm happy to stick to their normal routine to help them feel as comfortable as possible. I'm also comfortable giving medication if needed and always make sure I follow your instructions.
I'm self-employed, so my schedule is pretty flexible and I can usually work around what you and your pet need. Whether it's home visits for feeding, playtime, cuddles, or just keeping them company while you're away, I'm happy to help.
I know how hard it can be leaving your pets with someone else, so I'll always send updates during visits so you know they're happy and well looked after. I'll care for your pets like they're my own and make sure they get lots of love and attention while you're away.
Home visits can include feeding, playing, administering medication, taking your bins out/in, watering plants, refreshing water bowls, flexible with whatever you need!

Reliable & Loving Pet Sitter – Sunshine Coast (Caloundra)

Hi, my name is April and I live on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Caloundra. I absolutely love animals and will care for your pet as if they were my own.

I offer:

Dog walks (from your home)
Overnight stays at your home
Drop-in visits for feeding and companionship

I’m motivated to become a pet sitter because I truly enjoy caring for animals and giving owners peace of mind while they’re at work or away on holidays. Your pet’s happiness, safety, and wellbeing are my top priorities.

I handle energetic dogs by making walks and playtime fun and engaging. For shy or nervous dogs, I take a gentle approach — building trust slowly, offering patience, reassurance, and plenty of cuddles.

Your pet’s safety is very important to me. I ensure they are always supervised and secure in a fully fenced yard where applicable.

I can also support basic training such as:

Sitting before meals
Handshakes
Waiting or staying before food
Improving listening skills on walks

I have my own 4-year-old male American Staffy who brings so much joy to my life. While my experience with other animals is still growing, I am committed to providing loving, attentive care to every pet I look after.

I pride myself on kindness, open communication, and building trust with pet owners. I’m happy to discuss your pet’s specific needs to ensure they receive the best possible care.

I would love to hear from you and look forward to working with you and your furry friend!

Thank you,
April

I love animals. I've grown up with dogs, birds, guinea pigs, mice, fish - you name it!
Currently staying back home on the Sunshine Coast where I grew up to spend time with family. I work remotely and use my spare time looking after animals.
I have experience pet sitting in Australia, London & Dubai. I have animal welfare experience through volunteer work for PETA Asia Pacific in the Philippines and at Sippy Creek Animal Refuge on the Sunshine Coast.
I have a special spot for dogs and love to play and walk them. I'm also a cat lover and have cared for many types of pets including chickens. I have cared for dogs with behaviour issues & anxiety.
As I'm staying with family I can't accommodate animals here, but can stay or visit others homes. Happy to do any watering etc while I'm there too!
I'm based at Golden Beach in Caloundra, Sunshine Coast.
Looking forward to taking care of your pets!
