Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Ferndale WA Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Ferndale WA cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Ferndale WA cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

I have experience caring for a variety of animals, from dogs and cats to birds and rabbits. And have previously fosters kittens as well. I believe in treating every pet as if they were my own, ensuring they feel loved, comfortable, and safe when you're away.

I understand that leaving your pet can be difficult, so I offer regular updates and communication for peace of mind.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further information. Looking forward to meeting you and your furry friends!

I am a 22-year-old international university student with a genuine love for dogs and a strong sense of responsibility when it comes to pet care. Back in Malaysia, I have a 4-year-old male Toy Poodle, and I have been fully involved in his daily care for several years. This includes preparing meals, maintaining regular walking routines, supervising playtime, and closely observing his behaviour, mood, and health. Through this hands-on experience, I have learned how to care for energetic dogs as well as dogs that require a calmer and more gentle approach.
My motivation to be a pet sitter comes from my understanding of how important it is for owners to leave their dogs with someone trustworthy, patient, and attentive. I focus solely on dog care and always aim to create a safe, comfortable, and low-stress environment. I carefully follow all owner instructions, including feeding schedules, walking preferences, and any specific routines that help dogs feel secure and relaxed.
During walks, I prioritise safety at all times by using secure leads, staying alert to surroundings, and adjusting the pace based on the dog’s size, energy level, and comfort. I am cautious around traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar environments. In unexpected situations, such as a dog becoming anxious or overstimulated, I remain calm and handle the situation patiently to ensure the dog feels reassured and safe.
I offer dog walking and home visits, with walks typically lasting 30 to 60 minutes. Home visits include feeding, water refills, playtime, companionship, and basic care checks. I also make sure dogs are comfortable in their home environment by maintaining their usual routine as much as possible. For safety and hygiene reasons, I only accept vaccinated dogs.
Communication with pet owners is very important to me. I am happy to provide regular updates, photos, and messages so owners feel confident and at ease while their dogs are in my care. As a university student, I have a flexible schedule outside of class hours, allowing me to dedicate quality time and full attention to each dog. I am committed to being a reliable, caring, and responsible sitter that both dogs and owners can trust.

I'm calm, patient, and respectful of your home. Pet sitting is something i do in my spare time, so i give full attention during each visit and keep owners updated with photos and messages.

I could never imagine living without pets so I understand first hand how hard it can be to leave your beloved fur babies at home while being away.
I'm lucky enough to have had some brilliant pet sitters in my time which made me want to be able to do the same for others.
I'm a stay at home mum of a 2 human babies and 2 fur babies so I have plenty of time to look after yours and give them all the love they need. I'm available any hours of the day.
I currently have a 19 year old kitty who requires a lot of medications and I had recently nursed my other old girl through stage 4 kidney disease so I'm experienced in handling any of your pets medications. I also have a 2 year old kitty which keeps us all on our toes.
I love all animals and had pets my whole life. As a kid I was always on my horse or walking around after cows with my cats and dogs. I used to volunteer most weekends at a dog shelter walking dogs.

I am a huge animal lover who wants all pets to feel comfortable while their owners are away and will give nothing but the best care to yours. I have many years of experience with animals, both looking after my own pets from a young age (dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, horses) and then working with them when I was old enough. I have a certificate 2 in Animal Studies and my previous 2 jobs have involved the care and husbandry for many birds, reptiles, invertebrates and small mammals. I have done lots of petsitting both locally and overseas whilst travelling, and am comfortable with animals of all sizes, breeds and ages. I grew up with many pets including large dogs, and have been involved in training puppies.
Unfortunately I cannot host your pets but would love to come to yours for overnight stays, day visits or walks.
I would love the opportunity to spoil your pets in your place and hope to hear from you!

As a conservation biologist and lifelong animal lover, I’ve built my career around caring for creatures big and small. I’m a proud dog mum to two beautiful pups, and my home has always been a haven for animals, from cats and rabbits to reptiles, fish, and everything in between. Pet sitting is a natural extension of what I love: building trust with animals, keeping them safe and happy, and giving owners peace of mind while they’re away. Whether it’s belly rubs, long walks, feeding routines, or quiet company for shy pets, I understand what it takes to make animals feel secure and loved. With a background in animal welfare, a gentle approach, and plenty of hands-on experience, I treat every pet like my own. If you’re looking for someone reliable, calm, and genuinely passionate about animals, I’d be honoured to care for your furry, scaly, or finned family members. I'm available in the mornings and evenings for home visits where I'll feed your pet, clean up after them, and give them cuddles/play time. My home visits are typically 30-60min. I'm also happy to bring in the mail and water your house plants.

Hello! I'm Jo and nothing makes me happier than being able to love on any and all animals, but doggos in particular — I'd love to care for yours! ️
I have years of experience caring for my own dog Benson. He's a beautiful, lovable boy, but is a complicated and reactive rescue pup with very specific needs: from being able to walk his strong, occasionally lead-pulling 30kg self, to dispensing medication and giving him plenty of enrichment at home through play and food — I'm well-versed in dog care. I'm very passionate about caring for doggos' individual needs, and for meeting them at wherever they're at in their lives.
Additionally, I've never thought much about pet sitting until I needed one for Benson —it was only then I realised how unique our requirements were and how challenging it was to find a suitable sitter for him! There's clearly a gap in the community and I would love to be able to support other carers of complicated doggos where I can; I know that it can be really tough.
I don't do offer any boarding services only because Benson is a complicated pup who isn't keen on other animals, but I'm more than happy to come to yours to care for and love on your pet like they're my own!
Feel free to send me a message if you'd like more information.I look forward to meeting you and your pet, and to learn more about them ️

Hello pawrents!
I am Sedona. I am from the states, where I used to house sit quite a bit through the house sitters app! I'm 29 and work a corporate government job. I just miss meeting new fuzzies so I'm putting myself back on the market!
I now live in Perth with my Aussie partner and our Shiba Inu, Charlie. I love cats and dogs, equally, but I definitely miss having cat energy in my house. Bonus points if you have one.
I am familiar with administering oral meds (the good ol' cheese trick), and I love a good list of rules - following specific food/medication/exercise regimen is no problem! I will make sure your fuzzy friend (or child - let's be honest) is safe and happy during our time together!
Prefer vacation or short-term drop-ins as my schedule changes. I'm not looking for long-term clients atm. Willing to work with you on the schedule aspect!

I am incredibly passionate about cats, and my journey with them began when I started fostering. This passion grew even stronger when I adopted my own cat, whom I've been lovingly caring for over the past 3 years. During this time, I’ve learned to understand their unique personalities, behaviors, and needs. Cats bring so much joy, and I find it incredibly rewarding to create an environment where they feel safe, happy, and loved.
As a pet sitter, I am committed to providing the same level of care and attention to your cat as I do with my own. Whether it’s sticking to their feeding schedule, engaging in playful activities, or offering comforting companionship, I’ll ensure your cat's well-being while you're away. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care, and I am dedicated to providing a reliable, loving service that gives you peace of mind and makes your cat feel secure and cherished.
