Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Currajong QLD Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Currajong QLD cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Currajong QLD cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Hi! My name is Flor and I am a caring, responsible and reliable pet sitter who genuinely loves animals. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine and needs, and I always take the time to make them feel comfortable, safe and happy while you’re away.
I can provide walks, home visits, feeding, playtime, companionship and lots of attention. During visits, I make sure pets have fresh water, clean feeding areas and plenty of exercise and affection. I am comfortable adapting to different temperaments, including shy, energetic or senior pets.
I can also follow specific care instructions, including administering oral medications when required and maintaining established routines to reduce stress. If any concern or emergency arises, I will contact you immediately and follow your instructions while ensuring your pet’s safety and wellbeing.
I believe communication is very important, so I am happy to provide regular updates, photos and messages to give you peace of mind while you’re away.
Your pets will be treated with the same care, patience and affection that I would give to my own.

Hi! My name is Carla and I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life I grew up in Argentina with a Labrador, and later my husband and I adopted a dog together, taking full responsibility for his daily care, walks, routines and overall wellbeing. We also provided temporary shelter to three kittens, so I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats of different ages and personalities.

I’ve looked after pets for friends and families, and I also worked as a petsitter during my Working Holiday visas in France and Germany. My experience includes feeding, daily walks, playtime, maintaining routines and making sure each pet feels safe, relaxed and loved while their owners are away. I understand that every animal has its own personality and needs, and I’m always happy to follow specific instructions to keep their routine consistent.

I’m currently in Australia on a Working Holiday visa and truly miss having animals in my daily life 🤍 Pet sitting isn’t just a job for me — I take it seriously and always aim to provide a calm, responsible and caring environment. I know how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone, and I treat that responsibility with respect and commitment.
Thank you

Hello there!
My name is Dimitri, I am a 23 years old French traveler in Australia.
I have been surrounded by (big) dogs my whole life and I can say that I don't see myself living without them. Unfortunately my life choices made that I can not be with them at the moment and I really feel like, even though traveling makes me really happy, something is missing in my life. So I thought, if I can not take care of my best friends for now why not take care of yours?
I've had 5 Belgian shepherd throughout my life - as shown in the pictures - and I had my first dog when I was 10 years old. I raised him and took care of him by myself. As my father works in the security area, I have always seen him educate our dogs for his work and for competitions. I would be able to train your dogs if needed.
I've never personally had a cat but I love them and I wish I had. In France, I used to pet sit my friend's beloved animals ( dogs, cats, rabbits...) and I've always had great feedbacks - as much from my friends as from their pets
It will be my pleasure to look after your beloved companion(s), no matter how fluffy they are and how much they snore, take it out for as many walks as it needs, play with it all day, feed and bath it and do anything it needs to make it happy while you are away! Of course, I can take care of any special needs/request your pet may require.
I currently live in Townsville CBD in a small apartment so it won't be possible for me to take your pets in my apartment, but I will be happy to stay at yours or just visit your pet as much as you need. While housesitting, I will make sure to take your dog on at least 3 walks a day but it can be more if asked :)
I remain available or for any special request or additional information and I thank you in advance for your trust. Know that your pets will be in good hands and you will not be disappointed !
Best regards Dimitri.

Dear pet owners,
I am Carla, a 25 year old girl from Germany on a working holiday visa. I am passionate about caring for animals and really miss my furry friends at home, so I would love to look after yours!
I have a farming background and grew up with dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, geese and two ponies. Currently we have a Dachshund and a German Wirehaired Pointer (thankfully in care of my family at the moment).
I love spending time with them. Being active and going for long walks every day is something that I love. I already have experience with housesitting in Australia. I have looked after dogs and cats in Queensland and Melbourne.
My services include dog walking, home visits and house sitting. Whether it's daily short or long walks, interactive playtime, or cozy cuddles, I ensure that your pets receive personalized attention tailored to their individual preferences.
I will give your pet the care and attention it needs and will enjoy every second spent together! I look forward to being a pet sitter again!
You can be sure that your animals are in the best hands with me.
I would be very pleased to hear from you:)
Many thanks
Carla

Hi! I’m a true dog and cat lover, currently living and studying in Australia. Back in my hometown, I have 5 dogs and 3 cats that I’ve raised and cared for like my own kids. While I’m here, my mom is taking care of them, but I miss them every single day. That’s one of the reasons I’m applying as a pet sitter—to ease the feeling of missing them and to share my love with other pets.
I’ve always had a natural bond with animals and understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family. I’ll treat your pets with the same care, patience, and affection as I do with mine. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, or just some company, I’m here to help.
If you’re looking for someone reliable and loving, I’d be more than happy to meet you and your pet!

My name is Taryn. I am 22 years old, living in Townsville. I have adored all animals since I was a kid and I have since expanded that love and passion for animals through pet sitting, for which I have been doing for over 6 years. I have experience looking after all shapes, sizes, breeds and temperaments. I have my own dog, called Nova, a Rottweiler, whom I love dearly. I hold a Certificate III in Animal studies, which I gained through Applied Vocational Training. Using my in depth experience, knowledge, passion and love for animals, which I have gained from pet sitting as well as more veterinary work/training, boarding kennels, grooming centres and doggy daycare centres. I would absolutely love to be able to care for your furbabies, and would provide my absolute love, dedication and aspiration, caring for your pets. Let me know if you'd like me to care for your pets!
