Being a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy, patient, and genuinely caring to look after your furry family members. My motivation to be a pet sitter comes from my love for animals and the joy I get from spending time with them, whether that's going for walks, playing, or simply giving them attention and comfort. 
I have one Border Collie and one Moodle x Cavoodle, so I’m very familiar with managing different temperaments and energy levels. From the intelligence and high energy needs of a working breed to the affectionate and companion-focused nature of a smaller crossbreed, I’ve learned how important it is to tailor care to each individual dog. When first meeting your pet I like to make them comfortable by sitting down and letting them approach me. I put my hand out face down so they can smell me and go at their own pace.

With 23 years experience as a pet parent, dog/cat walker, pet sitter and RSPCA and Animal Welfare League foster carer. I would love to care for your fur baby for walks, pet sitting at my house or pet sitting visits to your home. I am RSPCA foster care trained for cats and dogs including administering medication and managing complex needs. My experience covers a broad range of breeds of cats and dogs of all ages and sizes. Hi! I’m Lana and I genuinely love all animals big and small. I understand how important it is to know your pets are safe, comfortable and well cared for while you’re away, so I always treat every pet as if they were my own. I’ve owned cats, dogs and birds my whole life and have always loved caring for animals.
I offer dog boarding, doggy day care, dog walking and home visits for dogs, cats and birds. Whether your pet needs company during the day, a walk to burn off some energy, or a safe place to stay while you’re away, I’m here to help.
My home is calm and comfortable, with a dedicated outdoor patio area where dogs can safely relax and enjoy fresh air. The space is secure, fenced and undercover, providing plenty of shade and protection from the weather. Dogs have access to raised beds, cooling mats, fresh water and a fun splash pool so they stay comfortable even during the warm Gold Coast days.
I work from home full time which means pets are always supervised, receive lots of playtime, care and cuddles so they feel happy and relaxed. I have a lot of experience handling animal emergencies, administering medications, tube feeding and surgery after care. I make sure to keep them hydrated at all times (especially in the Gold Coast heat) so I aways carry a portable water bottle and even treats (if mum or dad says they are allowed!).&nbsp;
For home visits I am happy to discuss small tasks needed if you’re away such as bringing in mail, taking out bins or watering plants.
I only take a small number of pets at a time so each one gets plenty of attention and care. For everyone’s safety, I ask that pets staying at my home are vaccinated and friendly with other animals. I have three friendly indoor cats who are used to a peaceful home environment. My dog walks are around 30 minutes and I'll usually take them for a walk either around their local neighbourhood, pimpama dog park, coomera sports dog park or oxenford lake.
I’ll also send daily updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing and I’m always happy to organise a meet and greet beforehand so you and your pet feel completely comfortable. I have a gorgeous little kitty cat who is my world and is the most spoilt cuddly little girl. I brought her over from USA with me, having to leave her in a foster care for over 7 months. 
I grew up on a farm in Victoria, with dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, goats, alpacas, lizards, fish, chickens, etc. I was always asking my parents for more pets. I raised birds from the nest. Bottle fed lambs, showed alpacas in shows, and trained more than one puppy!
I would love to offer to look after your pet for you in your own home while you are away. I can drop in to walk, cuddle, feed and everything else they need! 
As someone who has entrusted my cat's care to someone else in the past, I understand what is required and will be sure to keep you updated every step of the way and send through lots of photos of your animals.&nbsp;

Working with animals has always been a dream of mine and this is only the start of my life's purpose! Come along with me on my journey! 
During home visits, I will stay for 30 minutes to an hour just to make sure that the food has been eaten and an overall physical check to ensure they are okay also to ensure the house is safe and secure. Some of that time will be necessary for some cuddles as well! 
For cats, I will feed per request, clean the cat litter, clean anything that has been dusty and general spot clean to ensure your cat feels safe. 
For dogs, I will feed per request, clean their poop from the backyard, take on walks, play with them and do overall spot cleaning. 
Time is never an issue for me so I will never mind spending some valued time with your pets making sure that they feel loved and secure. 
If you have plants, I would love to water them for you or even if you're needing your fish to be fed. 
Once completing my daily feedings and cuddles, I will do a routine check to make sure the house is secure and all the doors and windows are locked as like prior. 
Upon request, I will happily send update pictures of your furry friend and any extra requests will be accepted! 
For walks if your pet walks a certain path, I would love to take them on it to fit their routine but if they love new smells, I am happy to take them a new route close by, including dog parks in your area. The standard dog walk is 45 minutes to an hour but there will be no time limit on walking just as long as your dog is satisfied!
Dogs must be trained properly for walks and be well mannered and will be refused if they do have reactive behaviours and poor recalls - this is for the safety of your dog/s, other dogs and owners and also myself.
