Top cities for cat sitting in Australia

Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Cherrybrook NSW Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Cherrybrook NSW cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Cherrybrook NSW cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Hi my name is Lisa, I am an Attentive, sensitive and caring dog walker. I have Experience with dogs and most animals. Although I am in Beecroft, I am willing to walk dogs out of the area as well.
My availability is between 8:00am -3:00pm during weekdays. Some weeks I may be available for weekend early morning walks also. I have experience with energetic big dogs, little energetic dogs and also with slow older dogs.
I will meet all your dogs needs to make sure they return home happy and relaxed for you. Your dog will feel loved and get the exercise they need that's for sure! Whether they are fast paced or they prefer a leisurely stroll I can match their preference either way.
Vaccinated and desexed dogs that are safe and kid/people friendly are preferable as safety is my priority for your dog, others and myself.
If your dog isn't trained yet don't worry I can help with continuing the commands that they are learning from you with your guidance and instructions.
I am readily available to help you with your dog!

Hi, my partner and myself are dog lovers especially poodles. I have dogs and cats previously in my life for over 25 years and I know how to interact and care for them (make them feel home and loved when their owners are away).
I have several experiences in taking care of dogs boarding at home and I had handled a newborn puppy who was born during the care. Both baby and mum are safe. There are two vets near our home within walking distances

For dog walking:
I am currently servicing the Epping area and extending to areas within 10km from Epping to make sure I have enough time to walk the dogs and return them home one by one.
For overnight boarding and daycare at my place:
I owned one toy poodle (11 years old) at home at the moment and he can't wait to meet new friends.
For the spaces, I have got a medium size backyard with real grasses for the doggies to play around and it's fully enclosed.
I know owners will be missing their pets while away so I am happy to share photos and video with the owners everyday.
small pets like rabbits, guinea pigs are also welcome to stay.
Owners may need to prepare the pet's own food to avoid upset stomach if boarding. As well as their regular toys and bowls.
There are two vets nearby homes all within just 5 mins walk so if there is any emergencies they will be taken to the vet promptly to avoid any delays in treatment.
overall, if you have any questions, feel free to message me. If the pets have any special needs or any special cauctions that I need to know before accepting the booking, please discuss with me.
I am looking forward to meet you and your lovely pets.

Hi, I'm Carmen a middle-age mumof two young sons Oliver(13) and Hugo (11) and two dogs, one of which lives with me permanently a calm, older Groodle Gent, named Ralphy who we rescued 10 years ago when he was three. My home is opposite a park and has an incredibly large, secure backyard, which is perfect for your darling to come and stay while you head off on adventures yourself, secure in the knowledge, they will be having lots of fun and exercise while you are away! I work from home every day except Monday, I work for a charity in international aid.
I had a cat most of my life, and have only come to love dogs since adopting a Ralphy 10 years ago, and now find myself a bit of a dog, tragic, constantly seeking out different dogs and their owners in the dog park and as we roam the streets. Yes, I am one of those people!
I am happy with large dogs and medium dogs, prefer those who will sleep in the garage or laundry. I do not have experience with any special medications but let me know if there any special needs, and we can figure it out together.
Let's organize to meet up so you can see the yard and your pet can meet Ralphy and be sure they enjoy each other's company.
What else would you like to know?

Hello, I have a 8-year old Border Collie, starting from 2 months old. She grew up with my children, and we love to have her as our family member. While she was a puppy, we went to dog park and training club often. She is very active and healthy. Now we walk her about 3 times a day (morning, before dinner and before sleeping), and play fetching tennis ball.
I helped to look after friends' dogs, for example, home visit and walk a German Shepherd, and dog boarding a Cavoodle at our home for a month while my friends travel overseas, etc.
I understand it is not easy to travel and leave your lovely ones at home. I am mostly working from home, and not travelling in the near future, so if you want to have a great holiday without worrying about anything behind, I am happy to help to look after your lovely pet.
Home visit and/or walking is preferred, also better within 15km of Epping, NSW.
I am available in the morning, afternoon and evening, on most of days.
I can help to administer oral medication, do basic training and grooming, bring in mails, put out bins, and water plants. Each home visit will be about half hour. Walking will be about half hour, and can be at local streets, forest, parks, or dog parks.
Thanks, and looking forward to meeting you.

Hi I'm Chelsea from China,
I have 3 lovely cats and working at the pet grooming shop now, Really love animal! I normally free to work Monday Tuesday and Thursday sometimes can working on weekend as well!
I'm so excited and can't wait to start this job! And I'll enjoy for sure! I have experience to daily care and walk (that's one part of job i used to do at the pet shop)
Before COVID, I would go to Thailand to volunteer at a stray pet center every year. I believe animals are human beings’ best friends. One of the reasons why I like Australia is that people in this country give me the feeling that they love animals. I hope I can gain more experience in this job and meet many friends who love cats and dogs.
Thank you to everyone who chose me. Thank you for trusting me and letting me take care of your baby.
If your cats can stay with another cats (I have 3 cats and they also sleep with me every night) welcome to stay overnight in our lovely home!

Hi There :)
My name's Emma and I just wanted to firstly take the time to thank you for checking out my page and considering me to be the one to take care of your family members, whether they are of the furry, feathered or scale kind.
While I have owned many of my own animals over the years, I currently own 7 rescue cats and I foster cats as well, dealing in particular with neonatal babies and those that need a lot of extra love to show them not everyone out there is a horrible person.
I have worked close to ten years in the animal industry, in a petstore that has a strong focus on rescue animals, with our cats and dogs only being rescues. Here I also work with rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, mice, ferrets, fish, birds, reptiles and all kinds of creepy crawlies on a daily basis.
Taking on this pet sitter role allows me to continue working in a field that is my passion and honestly who can resist days filled with tail wags, cuddles and purrs!
So if you think I might be the right fit, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I'm very happy to do meet and greets beforehand just to make sure it's a good match for everyone involved!
I can't wait to hear from you

I am an older lady, a retired creative arts teacher . I love travelling and being out in nature and delving into the mysteries of the wider Cosmos . I am an experienced and very well regarded pet sitter and mad keen animal lover. I work primarily as a live in sitter meaning I will come to your home and stay overnight to care for your pets while you are away . I normally undertake sits from a minimum of 3 days and up to 6 weeks.
I have been pet sitting now for close to three years and have clocked up some really wonderful 5 star reviews via agencies I worked through prior to joining Pawshake I dont currently own any pets myself and love the opportunity pet sitting affords me to spend quality time with other people's fur babies . I see my role as a doting visiting aunt ... lots of fun and cuddles walks if required and spoiling and often find it hard to say goodbye to the fur babies I mind . I find the more sits I have done the more I have really come to respect and appreciate the unconditional love and joy animals have to share and its usually a wrench having to say goodbye at the end of a sit .I really appeciate too the knowlege and insights into all the different breeds of dogs and cats pet sitting has afforded me I've come to learn many little known facts about the different breeds Eg did you know Poodles used to be used as police dogs in France ? Huskies can defiantely be the houdinis of he dog world,Border Collies love to round you up and Staffies I've discovered can have the biggest of hearts to match their wide wide smiles .
I particularly love to walk the doggies I mind and especially love the dog park experience . I find it a really fun and very sociable part of a sit .Love watching the dogs socializing and often find other pet friendly nice people to chat to at the dog park.
I usually pack a creative project in my suitcase when off to a sit such as a writing or illustration project I have been working on writing and illustrating and self publishing a second childrens book as my latest project
I find it works well to have a creative project to work on whilst spending quality time chilling with the pets I mind in their own home . I feel priveleged and blessed to have had the lovely opportunites to spend quality time caring for and enjoying the company of the pets I have minded over the last few years .
Apart from taking care of cats and dogs of many different breeds and ages I have had quite a bit of experience minding chickens .I once minded a chook house with 50 bossy chickens who were very enamoured of the applique flowers on my leather sandles and went for my feet everytime I entered their domain .It was soemwhat terrifying but I lived to tell the tale and I am pleased to report the only critter ever to have sheafed its mortal coil while on my watch was a little hermit crab .I came downstairs one morning to find its e shell floating upside down and its little legs pointing skywards . Cause of death unknown It was very sad . However other than than I'm very pleased to report overall very positive experiences of handing back to their owners relaxed happy pets and a sparkling clean home at the end of each sit. Thankyou

Hey everyone! I am Charley. I live in Beecroft. I am the owner of one cat, Mimi. I adopted her when she was half year old. She is a little adventurer and loves exploring the new thing!
I have always wanted to adopt more animals, but I am currently renting, so I can't keep any more pets at my place.
Pawshake is a good platform where I can meet animal friends and care for them. I can do house visiting, house sitting at the owner's place and dog walking!
My experience in Pet Care is from having my own pets and caring for family, friends and volunteering over the years. I have become a pet sitter for months now. I love animals and will always treat them like my own pet.
Other than pet sitting, I can also help with house sitting, including watering your plants, collecting your mail, etc.

My services include:

Home Visits - where I spend time with them either once or twice a day, giving them love, feeding them, looking after them, whatever they need! This is great for pets needing more love after WFH pawrents have gone back to the office.
Overnight stays: where I stay the night with your pet, keep them company and give them lots of love while you are away / on holiday.
Dog walks: 45 to 60 mins, depending on what your fur babies need!!
Day care: only accepts small-sized dogs (10kg or below) as I have a cat at home. Thanks for understanding.

I can give updates through all my services, including pictures, messages etc, and can follow any instructions you may have regarding your pet (eg, special diets, medications)

If you're looking for someone to love your pet as if it was their own, and respect their needs and yours, then send me a message!

I have a big heart, and can't wait to share my love and care with your fur baby!
