I am an experienced international house sitter and started in 2015 whereby over 50 house sits have been completed in the US, UK, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, all with 5-Star Reviews (computer date-stamped screenshots can be sent).
I am big on cats and dogs, they both sense my affection for them and come over to me straight away. People are always a bit amazed because they say "my dog usually barks at strangers for days!" or the cat is straight on my lap and usually goes into hiding. I have a few tricks with animals that make them feel non-threatened and relaxed :)
Anyway, I'm big on exercise, running the 5km parkruns weekly on Saturdays at 7:00 am so am always happy to get more walking in. I go at the best pace your dog can manage and your dog will come back and want to sleep after all the excitement. I'm very gentle with dogs because I like to let them "read" the messages in the ground if they stop to do so, this is all part of tiring them out, in my opinion and providing them with a full experience.
I'm strong so any size dog is fine and I've walked up to 3 dogs before but could easily manage more.
I grew up with cats and dogs on a farm in Africa so am very familiar with animal behaviour and can sense when something strange might happen or if a situation is not looking good. If your dog or cat has any behavioural issues I'm pretty good at 'tactfully' making suggestions that remedy the issue.
I've found that a lot of cat owners don't realize that cats require their water bowls to be cleaned out and refilled every day with fresh water, not just topped up. So I have to squeeze this into the conversation too at some stage because I care about the welfare of animals as a priority even if the owners feel a bit offended - they still need to know :)
I'm available at short notice too because I work from home but am always looking for a useful distraction especially if it involves a bit of exercise.

Animal lover since birth, I have been around animals of all shapes and sizes for as long as I can remember. Alongside a dog I also own two horses and eight goats. I have been caring for pets on my own since age 14 living on a farm and have noticed animals have a natural trust in me that I wish to only build upon in my sitting and walking work. I have cared for family, friends and strangers pets previously with no problems at all as well as dogs from abuse and other rescue situations.
When booking with me, please let me know of any special needs, medications or behavioural differences your pets may have so I can give them the care they need tailored to them. I am happy to give updates to pet parents as often as you would like to ensure you have the peace of mind that your fur baby is happy and cared for at all times!
My goal is to make every interaction with your pets a positive one, as such I do not use dog parks due to the inherent risk of off-leash dogs and other hazards. I will happily run with energetic dogs however or work with pets in a private yard.
I am currently studying in the animal care field from home and work casually, so I am flexible with my hours on available days. I do not offer stays at my home at this time as I live in a small apartment building.

• Sensory &amp; Mobility: My family dog, a 16-year-old Terrier is nearly deaf and blind; I am skilled in assisting dogs with sensory loss or limited mobility.

• Home Visits: My secure, quiet home is best suited for small to medium dogs.

I have just moved out of home to Brisbane to persue my sporting career aswell as studying physcology. Leaving behind my four family dogs, especially my own who was my bestfriend I would love nothing more than to spend quality time with your anima. I worked in my family produce and landscaping store where I interacted with a wide variety of dogs all day every day. I am extremely active and would love a furry friend to acompany me on my walks. I love everything about animals especially dogs and think they deserve the most love and care in the world. I would love to be able to help you out by taking care of your pet weather that a check in to ensure they are happy and have everything they need to be comfortable and or taking them for a walk to get out some of there energy when you need it most. I have walked dog breeds from sabiran huskys to kelpies to boarder collies. So this experience has thought me how to handle different temperaments and personality's in dogs. My walks will be 30minutes however if needed Im more than happy to extend for a additional fee. I was heartbroken that I was unable to being my kelpie ace along with me on my big move but I would love to be able to spend time with your pet.&nbsp;
