I am a housesitter with decades of experience in Australia and overseas. I have profiles on various housesitting websites, but I am now living in Melbourne and prefer to offer local services to those who travel, especially for short periods of time. I can visit, walk, feed, care for a dog, or cat, other animals possibly as well. I am happy to add any other necessary services such as watering plants, putting out bins or collecting mail. I can also do basic maintenance and repair, although I am not a licensed trade person. Gardening is fine, as long as you have tools at your home. If there is any emergency maintenance while you are away I can contact your regular tradie. Happy to fix small things myself if I can.
Since the description needs to be longer I will outline my recent history of housesitting. I had traveled around Europe in 2019 for nearly 12 months, looked after cats in Vienna, Brussels, Berlin, Prague, and also dogs and sheep in Spain and on Mallorca. Assignments were typically between 2 and 6 weeks long. However, my longest time of housesitting was in Canberra when I started my job there 30 years ago. In the early 90's there were not that many housesitters and at that time I spent over 2 years in 11 different homes, looking after various animals and homes. Happy to send references and a Police Check.
I am only offering house- and petsitting by visiting the owner's property, not in my own home. I specialise in short stays of one to three nights as this is when people are most often stuck and do not want to keep their pet locked inside an empty house while away. During December and January I will be free for longer and can offer a week or more at the time.

Hi all, my name is Montana and I live with my partner Connor and our gorgeous 1.5 year old Labrador Marshall. Connor and I have been together for 4 years, and recently purchased a cute little house with a big fenced in yard.  Connor loves cricket, and all things sport.  I love Pilates, great food and long walks with Marsh. We BOTH love animals, especially dogs 
Connor and I decided to start pet sitting because we absolutely adore animals and wanted to share our love and care with others. Our lab, Marshall, has brought so much joy to our lives that we couldn't resist the idea of helping other pets feel at home when their owners are away. And since Connor wouldn't let me get a second dog, we figured pet sitting was the next best thing! Now we get to enjoy the company of all kinds of pups, and Marshall loves having new pals to play with.
Here are a few rules we always follow when pet sitting:
1. Never leave the dogs alone together. (As much as our Marshall is as friendly as it gets, we never want to put either dog in an uncomfortable situation, that's why they are always supervised).
2. ALWAYS feed the dogs separately.
3. Keep a consistent routine for walks, playtime, and feeding.
4. Provide plenty of love, attention, and supervision at all times.

I currently work from home, so I’m available to look after dogs all day, every day. We have a lovely large backyard where dogs can play, run at full speed, and tire themselves out. For smaller or medium-sized dogs, we have a doggy door installed, and for larger dogs, I’m always here to open the door whenever needed. Our home is perched high up, and our dogs enjoy watching people and other dogs go by through our large windows.

I live in a single storey home with space to play indoors and a small fully fenced off area out the back. Your doggo would have a Frenchie pal so they must be ok around another dog and need to be house trained. Pharaoh (the Frenchie they'll board with ;)) will be 3y.o in Feb, he adores other dogs, not at all territorial and gets the message if another doggo has has enough play time and wants to nap)...took a while for him to get that message haha. Plenty of toys that he's also happy to share although I understand you might want your pup to have some familiar things whilst they're on vacation ;).&nbsp;
I WFH and will be home to entertain your dog, take them for walks (1 or 2 per day depending on what your pet needs) and give them lots of cuddles.
New to this app however have looked after friends and families dogs on many occassions over the years including for extended periods of time. Can supply character references if you like.

&nbsp;I am a person who loves animals, I have had pets in my hometown of Maracaibo and in Santiago de Chile with my husband.
&nbsp;My experience in caring for and walking pets is due to the fact that I had wonderful pets in my entire life, such as Mindy, Danna, Joe and Zuki. There have been 2 small dogs, one of a medium breed and one large, all 4 of them have been energetic, that is, they played a lot in the park with other pets.
&nbsp;I like to go out to the park with them, because that way they, the pets, socialize, play and share with other animals, it helps us to share with other people in the same way.
&nbsp;As additional information, I would feel much safer if the pets that I will be able to take care of and walk, are vaccinated.&nbsp;

Most of the time I work from home in my apartment in Preston just south of Bell street.  If I could have afforded to buy a house with a yard then I'd have more dogs!!!Freddy and I go for several walks a day in the various parks that are arounding us.  I also often drive him to the creeks, the beach, and down near Warrandyte for walks and swims.
