We are a family of four, with two adults and two primary school-aged kids (8&10), who are passionate about animals. At home, we have three cheeky parrots and a senior dog who is deaf and partially blind. I'm particularly committed to animal welfare, having completed units in animal studies and spent nine months work experience in a vet clinic. These experiences have given me a solid foundation in animal health and care. Since I only work in the office 1 day per week, any pets in our care won't be lonely or on their own for too long. My husband Andrew is currently completing a uni degree and is often home for half of my office day.

Growing up I had a pet rabbit and a dog, in my teenage years I had chicken and a cat. After loosing my gorgeous cat Andrew and I decided to get a parrot as we were renting at the time but I couldn't bare to not have a pet, he is now 20 years old and still with us (our first baby 😁). I also have a long term dream of doing wild life rescue in the future.

We have a fairly relaxed household during the week due to work, uni, and the kids extra curricular activities. However, our son is currently playing soccer so if we are caring for a pet that would love to come to the soccer games Sunday mornings and training during the week, we would love to take them! 

Both the kids are very happy to provide as much or as little cuddles and play time as your pet would like. The kids are not ruff and are happy to leave pets be when they are not interested in any attention. The kids are well versed with pet etiquette since our current old man (Puppy) is quite happy to sleep the day away and previously we had a grey hound who required gentleness and consideration. Your pet however would need to be happy and safe to be around children.

If your pet stays longer than 5 nights I am happy to offer a 5% discount.

My aim would be to ensure your pet feels like they are on holiday and spoil them as much as possible 😊. I also only accept 1 booking at a time so your pet(s) would be our only guest(s).
