About me:

I'm 22 years old and I am in my 5th year of studying a bachelor of Law and Arts. I also work as the Quality Manager for a private RTO called 4 Up Skilling where I work from home one day a week. I regularly compete in showjumping on the weekends and have 5 competition warmblood horses of my own. I grew up on a family sheep and cattle farm 2 hours north of Melbourne. We had a range of different pets: cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and dogs (including Kelpies, Labradors and Whippets). I own two whippets called Lilly and Hector who live with me in Melbourne. I love animals and thought pet sitting would be a fantastic job to help me through my final years at uni doing what I love.

Experience:

My mum was a vet nurse and growing up I volunteered at the vet clinic where she worked in Avenel, Vic. This included helping administer medications, cleaning pet beds, feeding and watering the animals, and walking/exercising the dogs. I also have experience with rabbits and guinea pigs as I owned these pets growing up, which taught me early on of the responsibility of owning an animal. As mentioned above I also have spent the first 20 years of my life on a farm and have experience in managing a range of different animals. I have also dog sat two of my friends dogs before on the days that I have worked from home, Kevin the Labrador and Margot the Labradoodle.

Services:

I offer dog walking and home visit services in the Maidstone, Footscray, Ascot Vale, Maribyrnong, and Sunshine areas. I can come to you, or you can drop off your pet to be walked around Maidstone. I am 10 minutes walk away from the Maribyrnong river and offer walk my two whippets along there. There is also an off leash dog park near me where I could walk your dog. I can walk your dog for between 30-40 minutes depending on what they need. For home visits, I would be there for 30-40 minutes and can water and feed you pet, let it outside to toilet, or spend time playing with them. I can also walk your dog as an add on. I will be offering these services on a Monday and Wednesday most weeks, the times will differ to work around my university schedule. I may also offer in the future a daycare service on Tuesdays as I work from home. I may only be out of the house for 30 minutes at a time to run errands. I have a fully fenced back years with grass the services my two dogs wonderfully. The inside of the house is tidy, with little for your dogs to chew or get into. Please keep in mind that your dog would have to be friendly with my two whippets, mine are a year old and two years old and are good with other dogs, but keep in mind their size and the fact they can be high energy at times.
