About Alex
Hi I'm Alex - an experienced pet sitter with a love of Canberra's green places.
I offer dog-walking sessions priced at $20 per hour, tailored to meet the unique needs and energy levels of each furry companion. I am generally available in the afternoon and evening on weekdays, and any time on the weekend. My usual route is around Lake Burley Griffin for an hour, but happy to work to your length and location needs.
For those seeking overnight care, I offer comprehensive pet-sitting services at $40 per night, fostering a safe and nurturing environment for your pets in the comfort of their own home. I have experience in caring for dogs and cats, guinea pigs, chickens and plants. I am happy to consider any days and length, and can accommodate stays of a month or more at negotiated rates. During overnight care I will spend time at your house and with your pets outside of standard work hours, and will follow your instructions to ensure your home is secure while you are away. When caring for your pets I can administer medications, and am happy to work with you to continue any training or behavioural work you are progressing. For homes outside central Canberra - I don't have my own car so I generally borrow the host's car. I can drive manual and automatic.

Alex was amazing with our cat and dog while we were away. She is kind, personable and responsible and we didn't have to worry about the house or pets while we were away. She gave us daily updates on what the pets were up to and was very responsive if we had any extra questions.
Our house was very clean when we came home, and I think the pets (especially our dog) were sad we were back and their new friend had gone home!
I would highly recommend Alex as a pet and house sitter, and we will definitely be booking her for any future trips.
