My love for dogs has become a core part of my identity since I was a child. Simply watching them in action brings me an indescribable joy. I am the type of person who will gladly interrupt a conversation just to point out a dog walking down the street.

While I may not have professional experience as a dog caregiver, my lifelong experience as a dog owner has equipped me with invaluable skills. My dear Zoe, a mixed breed of Schnauzer and Cocker Spaniel, was my loyal companion for a remarkable 18 years. She came to my life when she was a little puppy, the last born in her litter. Together, we shared countless anecdotes and adventures that shaped my love for dogs.

One of my fondest memories is when Zoe caught a bee with her mouth, causing her snout to swell. Another unforgettable moment was when my mother found her eating an entire birthday cake off the table. A funny fact, she used to steal things from my pocket. I also remember lots of hours we spent having fun and playing with a ball, and her noisy barking of happiness receiving me after a long journey. Despite her silly quirks, Zoe was a beautiful, energetic, and strong dog who brought happiness to everyone around her.

As she aged, her needs became more demanding, and my mother and I adjusted our lives accordingly to provide the best care possible. She was in a good condition until she was seventeen, in fact, most of the people used to think that she was younger than she really was, and their vets used to call her “The legendary Zoe” because she was their oldest patient.

However, during the pandemic, Zoe developed a neurological disease that required special attention and a strict routine to ensure her comfort. She got better for some time with a special medication. We tried to make things easy for her to eat and drink, and I used to keep an eye on her during the night, waking me up more than once at dawn because she started wandering around as part of her cognitive decline.

Although she passed away last year, the love and memories she left behind continue to enrich my life. I am grateful for the opportunity to have loved and cared for her, and I am eager to share that love with other dogs as a pet sitter. Rest assured, every dog in my care will receive the same level of devotion and compassion that I gave to Zoe.

Early mornings (starting at 6 am)

Weekends (very flexible, mornings, afternoons and evenings)

-Training them in basic commands.
