Hello Pawshakers!

My name is Marci King, and I am an animal enthusiast!

I've spent my entire life surrounded by animals of all shapes and sizes! I have had chihuahuas, pugs, maremmas, border collies, labradors, golden retreivers, kelpies, and dachshunds - and they're just the dogs. I have grown up on a beautiful acreage in Bordertown also known as Safe Haven Wildlife Sanctuary. I become my mother's right hand, and helped 24/7 in rescuing, rehabilitating and raising all sorts of wildlife, such as kangaroos, wallabies, possums, native birds, reptiles and my personal favourite, wombats! It led me to pursue my passion in animal care following secondary school, since which I have completed a Diploma of Animal Technology with intentions to further my studies into Veterinary Nursing in 2018. With spare time on my hands, I knew there was no better way to fill it than to open my home and heart to other pets in the form of petsitting!

My services include:

Daily walks by the river

Off-leash time during walk

Playtime in the backyard

Mealtimes in the morning and evening

Visits to the North Adelaide Dog Park on weekends

Walks on the beach if possible

Endless cuddles

Daily (or twice daily if requested) photo updates

Complimentary dog wash prior to pick-up if your pet stays longer than 4 days (small-medium dogs)!

If requesting home boarding, relax in knowing I have a fully-enclosed backyard with a lockable side gate and high iron fencing. I have a medium barkyard and full access via doggy door 24/7.

My services welcome pets with special medical needs, and you can feel relaxed in my experience in giving medications, tending wounds and keeping pets under observation. However, I only accept pets that are up to date with vaccinations and worming. Female dogs in season are welcome, but the extra care and attention they require will incur an extra cost.

Unfortunately, I cannot accomodate cats for home boarding. Apologies for the inconvenience.
