**Currently only offering pet sitting within the Surry Hills & Redfern areas due to work commitments. Thank you!**
Hello :) I'm Lucy. I have always been super passionate about animals since a very young age and hope to continue helping them throughout my life. Here is a little bit about myself and my experience with animals…
I have worked as a veterinary nurse for around 12 years, in Sydney, London, Byron Bay and Melbourne (most recently at Melbourne Cat Vets & Paddington Cat Hospital). I have taken part in volunteering programs around the world including a vet nursing position in Chaing Mai, Thailand, working at an elephant sanctuary. It was such an amazing experience :) Working with horses in Spain, and I recently took part in a desexing and rabies control program for stray dogs in Northern India.
I grew up in France and England and spent my weekends and free time volunteering with cats and kittens at a near by shelter, and also taking part in charity dog walks. I've also done a bit of work in equine care, and grew up riding and looking after my friend’s horses in my spare time.
I am offering dog walking and pet sitting in the owner's own home within the Surry Hills & Redfern areas of Sydney. I live and work in Surry Hills, so pet sitting around that area is easiest for me at this stage.
I'm happy to administer medications to your pets if required. As well as brushing/combing coats and washing.
I can offer housesitting for people whilst looking after pets, and longer stays (over a week) are fine too depending on my work commitments. Watering plants, bringing in the mail etc can also be done for you during these stays. During house visits I usually like to stay for at least 30 minutes. This is to ensure your pet has everything they need and are fed and happy, as well as providing play time and/or cuddles. Brushing can also be done during these visits, which is a great way to bond and socialise with pets. Some cats don’t agree with this, so that’s ok! My hours vary a lot as I work different shifts each week. But please do get in touch so we can work out the best time of day for you and your pet. My dog walks are typically one hour, depending on the needs of the dog and client (some dog’s may be very elderly and only require a small stroll around the block). If the hour is not reached then I like to offer to provide enrichment in other ways such as playing in the owner’s home or simply providing love and cuddles :)
Do let me know if you require any further information, I can provide references, testimonials and a police check.
I look forward to hearing from you, and to hopefully meet you and your pets sometime soon :)

We used Lucy while we went overseas for a week and it was great, definitely recommend her to others looking for a pet sitter. She was great at communicating, keeping the litter and food topped up and caring for our timid rescue cats!
Lucy was just the best. She was so loving and kind to our dog Frank and we returned to a happy, healthy, calm boy. Lucy turned up right on time for us to get to the airport and we came back to a clean ordered house. Her communication from beginning to end was excellent and she was just generally delightful. Trustworthy, kind and reliable. Thank you Lucy!
