My name is Amanda and I would love to look after your cat/s while you’re away! I am a massive animal lover (and an avid cat lover) and am passionate about animal welfare and providing the best possible care for these wonderful beings. I do home visits around the eastern suburbs and want to ensure your fur babies have the best and most loving care while you’re away.

My experience

I have a beautiful and feisty cat named Sparkle who I have been lucky to spend 18 amazing years with so far. She is truly my fur baby so I am well experienced with all the aspects of caring for a cat including feeding, changing their litter, grooming, cuddling, 

and playtime. I also value the importance of recognising when a cat wants cuddles and attention and when they’d prefer to be left alone as the cat’s comfort is the top priority. She is definitely spoiled but it’s what she and all animals deserve as they truly are such amazing beings that provide us with so much joy just by being themselves and constantly remind me of the good in the world.

My love of animals also led me to pursue a career in vet nursing and I have over 1 year experience as a junior vet nurse so am experienced with caring for cats with all kinds of personalities, temperaments, medication requirements, and other specific needs while maintaining a high level of cleanliness. One of my main jobs was to look after the cats in our boarding facility and being able to care for them during their stay was by far one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

I am new to pet sitting on this app but I am so excited to start this new chapter.

Availability

I am taking a break from work over December/January so am very flexible with what times I can visit your home. I aim to spend at least an hour per visit but am more than happy to stay longer to best care for your pets.

I live in Maroubra and am able to drive so your home being accessible via public transport at all times is no issue.

I am able to visit your home up to twice per day

If you have any other pets in your home (such as fish) I am more than happy to look after them as well!

I truly appreciate how scary it can be to be away from your pets and will communicate with you daily on how they are doing and send pictures of them if that is something you would like. But rest assured they will be showered with love because it’s what they deserve.
