About Fleur

My name is Fleur and I would love to make sure that your pets are happy and comfortable while you are away.
About me:
- I grew up on an alpaca farm, my parents most recent addition to the family is alpaca Josh - this little cutie is one of my favs!
- I also grew up with two blond Labradors (one in the photo), the three of us were besties until they sadly passed away from old age.
- My first ever job was at a dog/cat shelter. I was 15 years old and wanting to share my love for animals. My duties were feeding the animals, cleaning out their kennels and taking them on walks.
- I worked as a florist during my high school and uni years, so I'm happy to give some love to your plants and flowers as well :)
- I'm currently working as a research scientist (Dr Fleur) for the Perth Children's Hospital. As I'm working from home most of the time I have lots of time for (beach)walks, playtime and cuddles with your furry friends.
- The two boxers in the photo are Lola and Ivy, they are my friends most beloved furbabies, I petsit them on a regular basis as they travel lots for work.
- I have done petsits for another agency previously, and started using Pawshake over a year ago. References and reviews from previous petsits are also available on request.
My services include house visits, and housesitting for as long as is required. I’m flexible with hours and days as I work mostly from home, so we can discuss what is most suitable for your furbaby!
A standard day whilst housesitting usually consists of 1 or 2 walks (between 30-60 mins duration - depending on age, breed and energy level of the dog). I do not take more than one dog at a time for dog walks, unless they are from the same household. No off-leash time in an unsecured environment, unless there is established a good recall (repeat customers) or specified by you.
Your furbaby would be well looked after and exercised. I am comfortable giving medication if required. Please specify what type of care and temperament of your furbaby (any fears or concerns) in booking request. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions or requests :)

Fleur did a fantastic job of looking after my nervous rescue dog, Chloe, giving her lots of cuddles and even letting her sleep on the bed. You can tell she genuinely loves dogs. Fleur was super communicative, which meant I could really relax on my holiday. Thanks so much, Fleur!
Fleur is absolutely amazing! Our Frenchie, Millie, is a little on the needy side and doesn’t do well with hot weather, so we were a little nervous leaving her, and her feline sister Missy, in the lead up to our two-month trip. We are also quite house-proud so we were also a little hesitant about having someone we just met staying in our home.
We needn’t have worried though because we were so fortunate to find Fleur. From the minute we met her at the meet and greet, we knew we had hit the jackpot- Millie and Missy were smitten and she was so lovely and reassuring.
I was still a tad nervous in the lead up to the trip, but that subsided completely after Fleur sent her first update just after we left- Millie and Missy both looked in heaven in all the pictures Fleur sent.
Fleur took such great care of Millie and Missy and our home, sending regular updates, which we absolutely loved and appreciated.
We cannot thank Fleur enough for how well she cared for Millie, Missy and our home, which was spotless on our return, and for being so kind and thoughtful.
We highly recommend Fleur and will absolutely use her again in future.
