My name is Ruth, I'm a Social Worker and I live with my partner and our cat, Lizzie. I have been doing Pawshake on and off for several years, including overseas.
I'm very caring and responsible, for both your pet and your home. I've always had excellent feedback from previous Pawshakers about feeling at ease when they are away.
I have a passion for dogs and cats but will also be available for other pets. I have worked part-time as a dog handler with experience both in a dog day care and overnight stays. I’ve got extensive experience sitting for a range of cats and different personalities. I love getting to know your animal and what works for them.
I have knowledge in managing various dog behaviours and I have completed my Pet First Aid.

I understand how hard it can be to trust a new person to care for your pet and would be available to arrange to meet you first to ensure you feel they will be in safe hands. It will also allow me to make sure your animal is comfortable with me too.

absolutely wonderful, even our untrusting cats warmed up to Ruth in record time! really went above and beyond, absolutely would recommend.
Ruth is incredible. Communication was excellent and she was able to be flexible for our face to face meet and greet. She even went above and beyond when the chooks got out of the pen due to the high winds. She cleaned up all the chooks dropping left around the outside to ensure we were coming home to a house as clean as we left it. Most importantly the animals were all very happy and probably a little sad to see me back in the house and not Ruth. Especially the cat which I know Ruth had spent time playing with and patting as she had sent several images and videos of all the affection she was getting. For all future away stays I will now need to ensure Ruth's availability before organising anything as I know I will be coming home to very happy, well cared for animals.
