Hi, I’m Caitlin, and for $25 per hour (less for bulk booking) I would love to take care of your pets!

I am an inner-city mum to two kids and four rescue cats and a greyhound. I am a
lifelong animal lover who has adopted, fostered and cared for several cats and
dogs as well as other creatures. I have been vegetarian/vegan since I was five
years old and active in many animal rights and welfare organisations.  

I've had to stop full time office work this year for health reasons (long covid) and am very
keen to care for animals instead - they, my kids and nature are huge joys for
me. Cats, dogs, bunnies, ferrets - I don't mind what your pets are or whether
they are vaccinated or not, I'll love and care for them. Animals are the
windows to our souls after all! I don't drive so prefer jobs within easy
distance of Fitzroy and at your place rather than mine (unless you think your
pet could cope with my five furbabies…). Please see Pawshake's service expectations for some general information. 

I am available most hours most days, and am happy to walk your dog, visit your home as needed (watering
plants, collecting mail etc too if you like) and also stay overnight when you
are away (I am very respectful and security conscious and have a police check).
I can feed, groom, help train or give medicine to your pets – whatever is
needed. My hourly rate is around $25 but I can be flexible with my time to meet
your needs. It would be great to meet or at least speak to you prior to any engagement to clarify anything we need to.
You know how to care for your pet better than anyone else so I look forward to being guided by you! 

Previously I have worked as a senior communications and engagement specialist using my
complementary skills in social policy and law. I have extensive experience both
as a contractor and employee in multiple roles across the government, corporate
and non-profit sectors, including overseas, and been a regular community
volunteer. I care deeply for social justice and am a pro-active, flexible,
organised, reliable and personable worker, whatever the job may be!
