I am a vet student studying at the University of Melbourne. I terribly miss Bubble, my lioness cat back home, and have decided that I would love to meet more animals this year. As a vet student, I believe being your pet sitter will be a privilege and opportunity to steepen my learning curve with animals. I am also neurodiverse, and have found animals to be a special interest of mine. They often give me comfort and familiarity, and their presence has contributed to my wellbeing.

I have experience in caring for companion animals and a strong knowledge in animal husbandry and behaviour. I am experienced in petsitting cats and dogs and had lived with various breeds while growing up. As I have completed two years of vet school, I am knowledgeable about various medical conditions in domestic breeds and am comfortable with taking care of senior pets. I have been trained in animal-handling, and assessing clinical or behavioural abnormalities. 

As per requirement of my course, I have worked with dogs and cats in various placements eg. livestock farms, dog kennels, catteries and small animal clinics. A memorable experience is working with a farmer in rural Victoria who has kelpies to round up his sheep. I have also worked with sled dogs at Mt Buller, Victoria. Nala (a Goldie) and Jasper (Burmese cat) have been my favourite companions during my holidays whenever their owners go for a holiday! Hence, I am comfortable at taking care of all sorts of dog and cat breeds.

I will only take bookings during periods that I am confident I can devote as much time as I can to your pets. Part of my booking agreement is to send you daily updates of your pets including photos. I currently have a police check for assurance that I will keep your pets and your home safe if you ever need my help. Feel free to share with me about your pet's personalities, behavioural and enrichment requirements during the meet and greet as that will help me attend to your pet's needs!
