Hey there 👋
I have loved animals of various kinds for as long as I can remember and the ones ive missed the most when leaving home are my family pets. Strays were definitely my favourite part of travelling asia 😄
I am happy to provide home care and visits, walks and overnights.
Family pet experience:
- Dogs - Akita (female, purebred), rotti x mastiff (male, rescue)
- Cat - domestic longhair (female, rescue)
- Bird - budgie (male)
- Mice - 8x females
- Aquatic - goldfish, 2x axolotles
- Lizard - blue tongue skink
Experience working with animals:
- Farm - briefly worked with sheep, lambs, calves and cows (and cared for a border collie one night)
- Doggy day care - from 1 to 10 years old, varying sizes and breeds
- Support work - the family has 2 puppies, 3 cats and 1 rabbit. When not working with the boys i play with the pets or house sitting
- Overnight sits - people left for the night so looked after the pets (and kids if needed)
- Dogs - nervous, energetic, deaf, sight impaired, arthritis, skin conditions, oral medication, 3 months to 12 years
- Cats - nervous, cuddly, matted hair, kittens to 18yrs
- Rabbits - cuddly, deaf, nervous
- Other - the lizard and bird belonged to my brothers so i have helped learn and care for those. My friends and extended family have chooks, horses and donkeys of which i have helped, learnt about and interected with.
