Hi there, 

I love animals and providing a dog walking and pet visiting service. This kind of work is a great way to meet new animals and people, as well as get exercise and, yes, make some extra income.

I have a national police clearance certificate, valid until 1 August 2024.

When am I available?

For dog walking and pet visiting, I am available mornings and afternoons, Mondays through Fridays.

What is specifically included in my services?

Please note: as of 16 May 2024 I will be housesitting in Brisbane and Miami (Gold Coast). I will be available for dog walking and pet visiting (no boarders) in the following areas and dates, but will be getting around on foot and public transport (we're trying life without a car):

New Farm: 16 May to 19 June

Bowen Hills: 26 June to 21 July

Miami: 21 July to 9 October

My locations from 9 October are not yet fixed, but I am potentially available for you. From 24 January 2025 we will be living in South Brisbane and I will be available in that area.

Dog walking 

For dog walking, I will walk up to two dogs (from the same household) at one time, for at least 30 minutes. Ideally, I'd like to meet you and your dogs before I start, to get a beat on their specific needs, fears and behaviours, whether they should be kept on-lead or be allowed to have off-lead walks, and the like.

I would walk your dogs in the local area. After returning them home, I could feed them if required; I can also give medication, with your initial guidance.

Pet visiting 

For pet visiting, I would visit for up to 20 minutes, feeding your pets and giving them company and affection; I can also give medication, with your initial guidance.

Within reason, it doesn't matter what type or how many pets you have, I can take care of them for my indicated fee.

I am certainly open to negotiation with you about your needs.

About me

In a former life, I was a university academic tutor and professional staff member. Now I have much more freedom and enjoy making income doing different things (like managing our AirBnB property and an online nutritionist practice with my partner). 

I have experience with pets large and small, like German Shepherds, kelpies, ponies, ragdoll cats, golden retrievers, dachshunds, pets with special medical needs, goats, rabbits ... even five emus and an ostentation of peacocks!
