Hi I'm Maddy 

I am a compassionate and responsible individual with a deep love for animals.

I have a wealth of experience caring for pets of all shapes and sizes, which means you can leave your pets knowing they will be cared for by an experienced sitter.

- I have fostered 11 dogs for various rescues. This means I have had experience with dogs of all shapes, sizes and backgrounds. Fostering is essentially just long term pet sitting - I provide them with a home, love, socialisation, and training until they find their forever homes.

 As a result of fostering and training I am experienced in stress and behavior changes associated with animals decompressing due to changing environments (you leaving) and many other behavioral issues and have the experience, empathy and patience to assist your pet to have a relaxed and enriched time whilst you are away. 

My fostering experience has resulted in lots of post operation care (desexing & health operations) and medication administration. As a result I am comfortable in administering medication, ensureing your pet stays quiet but receives lots of mental enrichment and attending post op checkups. 

- I have volunteered with the RSPCA (Happy Paws, Happy Hearts program) assisting with dog walking and training, socialisation, and adoption events. As part of my volunteering we were required to undertake dog training as part of our inductions and implement the training with animals in the shelters. This experience means I know how to read an animal's behaviour and also know what questions to ask you to ensure I best know your pet and their needs before you leave to go away. 

- Allie my dog (featured in my profile) is the love of my life. She is 3 years old and is an adopted rescue (meaning we don't really know what breed she is). As a current dog owner I am familiar with all aspects of canine care, including feeding, grooming, walking, and training. I know how much I love and miss Allie when I'm away from her, so rest assured I will love your pet like its my own and keep you updated with lots of photos. 

- For pet hosting/boarding services - all animals are required to be desexed. I have 6ft secure fencing (see photos in profile). My house is also 2 story so if your pet has mobility issues please advise in your initial booking request.   

I work from home and therefore have the flexibility to visit or stay with your pet while you are away. If your pet has separation anxiety and cannot be left alone, please advise in initial booking request as while I work from home and am home most of the time, I do leave the house for occasions not marked in my calendar which may impact my availability/suitability to take your booking.
