We are a mother and son who live in Brisbane's Bayside, surrounded by parks, walks by the water and a dog-freindly cafe, in the quiet suburb of Thorneside. 

We love spending time with dogs, taking them for walks, throwing them ball, having a kick around with the soccer ball (my 10yo is soccer mad!) and providing plenty of cuddles and attention.

My 17yo Australian Terrier, Max, passed earlier this year, leaving a big hole in our family. I currently regularly travel interstate for work, so I'm not in a position to provide a full-time home for a doggy, but we would love to care for your pet when I am home (available dates are provided in my calendar).

I work full-time, but WFH at least two days a week. Weekends we spend time at the park, going for picnics and walks, we love being by the water so reguarly go to Manly Foreshore, Redcliffe, Hamilton and Nudgee.

Our fully-fenced back yard opens up onto two large playing fields, with an off-leash dog park by the water less than a 10-minute stroll away.

We can only take fully vaccinated and wormed small to medium dogs into our home. 

INFORMATION FOR DOGS STAYING IN OUR HOME:

I live with my 10 year old son, I am a single mother in my mid 30s. We currently do not have any other pets and will care for one (or multiple from the same home) small to medium sized dogs at a time. 

We welcome friendly, fully vaccinated and wormed dogs, that love cuddles, playing, who are toilet trained, walk well on a leash and are friendly with other dogs while out and about.

We live in a townhouse in a quiet surburban complex, have a fully-fenced back yard with covered entertainment area. 

STAYING OVERNIGHT:

Your dog will sleep in our kitchen (see photo) with the fan on in summer and a heater in winter. There will be a baby gate placed across the doorway, so they cannot access the lounge room or venture upstairs at night.

If you would prefer your dog to sleep in their crate, we can accommodate this. 

WHEN I AM AT WORK OR NOT HOME:

Your dog will have access to the back yard and the kitchen, via a doggy door (medium size). There is an outdoor kennel provided, or they can bring their own outdoor bed. There will be a baby gate placed across the doorway, so they cannot access the lounge room or venture upstairs.

There will be a fan provided, I can leave a radio on if required and there is a security camera to check up on them, if I am in the office during the day.

For mid-week stays, your dog must be ok with being left at home alone during the day. When I am working from home there still activites such as school drop off/pick up I need to do, so I cannot care for dogs that bark and suffer from separation anxiety as it puts me at risk of noise complaints from my neighbours.

WHEN I AM HOME:

Your dog will have access to the lounge room, fuly-fenced back yard and covered entertainment area. I am happy for them to have cuddles with us on the lounge if that's what you do at your own home. I can place their bed in the kitchen or lounge room too, so your pet is with us. 

When I am working from home, I will be at my desk in the lounge room, I usually move their bed to closeby me, to keep us both company :)

- Their food and treats (so they don't get an upset tummy)
