Hello! It is lovely to meet you!

I'm Kathy, a very experienced, long-time dogsitter based in Cooroy (aka the Heart of Noosa Hinterland) which is close to Noosa itself. I have been dogsitting full time for the past five years and before this part time.

In the past I have looked after all breeds of dogs, of all shapes and sizes as well as having had various breeds of my own. For past year or so, my focus has been on minding small dogs only, which provides peace of mind for many dog owners putting their small fur-babies into care. I am also prudent about matching doggie guests, to ensure that everyone has the most enjoable time and feel safe, while they are in my care.

I have a clean, tidy, modern home that is tiled inside and fully fenced outside with a fenced pool area (for those permitted to swim under our 100% supervision only). All my small dog guests spend most (if not 99%) of their time indoors, with plenty of opportunity to roam outside whenever they please, into the turfed area for sniffing and sun baking. I take on a maximum of four dogs at any one time. I follow your routine you may already have with your dog(s) as closely as I possibly can while you're away and we get out for walks as well.

I send photos/videos and updates on a daily basis for your peace of mind, which I feel helps you to enjoy your holiday more when you know they are also enjoying theirs.

I have two children that I co-parent, Zoe 12 and Jay 11 so they are here every second week. They are mature, respectful and compassionate souls who are dog people through and through, they understand dogs well so know when dogs are happy to interact, but will leave them alone if they indicate otherwise,

I am a small dog owner myself, so I get it. 

I currently have a gorgeous gentle and playful little cavoodle Tali. Before this, I had a tiny 2.5kg vivacious toy poodle Molly. I am very experienced with an exhaustive range of small dog breeds having looked after hundreds of dogs in my time already. Just ask, it's likely I know your breed well!

Some very important housekeeping/booking notes:
1. When making a booking with me, note that my overnight rate covers up to 24hrs, so if you are planning to drop your dog(s) off in the morning, followed by a pick-up of an afternoon on any following day(s), you will need to book an extra daycare day, as this is time I would otherwise be able to fill with a daycare dog. Please note I don't charge extra for walking your dog during an overnight or daycare stay with me, I am happy to do it anyway!
2. I do not accept dogs with sepration anxiety as after many years of trying to accommodate them, this simply has too strong an affect on all other humans and dogs in the house and usually only stresses your anxious dog out even more, so please do not book with me if you know your dog has separation anxiety.
3. I do not accept male dogs who are known to mark inside or excessively outside my home space - this causes other dogs in my care to stress out and can potentially encourage bad habit-forming for other male dogs.
4. I am not home every single day for 24 hours. I do have to run my kids to school/activities or run errands, exercise myself (outside of walking your doggies) and so forth, sometimes needing to be out and about for between 30-120 minutes. This is not every day, but I like to be completely transparent.
