Hi! My name is Sam. I am 25 years old, and I am from the United States. I moved here in January to play soccer, and one of the hardest things about leaving home has been not having my fur baby with me (mini goldendoodle named Murphy in my profile pic). I have decided to join Pawshake because I just miss the companionship of a dog. 

Back in the US we have a dog sitting app called Rover, which I did for 3 years. Now that I am settled, I would really love to start doing that here. I absolutely love dogs. They are easily the greatest companion. When I was in college, I would visit the dog shelter every weekend and take the dogs out and play with them. 

Before I got my own dog, Murphy, three years ago, I had my family dog who passed when I was 21. That time was hard because he had been there most of my life. I wanted to get my own dog but I wasn't ready to move on just yet, so I decided to join Rover, the dog-sitting app, and give my love to other dogs till I felt the time was right to get one of my own. It's funny though. Even after I got my boy, I continued to use Rover because I love dogs that much. If I could own a dog farm, I would.

I know I have gone on and on about dogs, but I am a huge animal lover all around. I have watched cats as well and am open to watching any pet you may have. However, I will not be able to take care of any animals in my own home because the house I am living in has a no-pet policy.

I coach the U-13 girl's soccer team and play soccer for the NPL Women's team at Lions FC in Richlands. Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday are when I coach and train, and they are both back to back, so I'll be busy from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm those days. Besides that, I am available whenever. I use the train and bus as transportation because I do not have a car just a heads up. 

If your pet needs medication, I am perfectly comfortable with administering that. I can offer training and grooming as well. For example, if you are working on specific things with your dog to learn, I can continue that while you are away. And if your dog needs brushing, I am fine to do that too. If you request a home visit, I do not mind watering plants or bringing in the mail for you. If your dog needs to be walked, I will walk him/her for 30 to 45 minutes. If your dog wants to go to a dog park, I would happily take them. With dog sitting, I will be with the dog the entire time. The only time I would leave the dog alone is to quickly go out for food but I would take it to go and immediately come back and if I have to leave to coach and train.
