I am a 44 year old, single mum of a 13 year old boy. I have spent the last 22 years in the disability sector and I am looking for a change. I recently rescued a dog from a rehoming centre and he changed my life and my focus. 

I have been looking after my friend's cats, fish and house, over holiday periods for the past 3 years. I even have my own set of keys that the owner's trust me with all year round. 

I didn't think this would be something that I would do, but the more and more I do it, the more I love it. 

I am currently completing a Certificate in Dog Psychology, Behaviour and Training, which I should finish in the next couple of weeks. I am not a professional trainer but I am happy to put some time in to assist with training dogs. I do know some basic skills and how to train them. I am not a professional groomer, but I am happy to wash pets, if required. 

I absolutely love animals and wish that I could rescue them all. I love the unconditional love that they show. As I cannot rescue all animals, I am more than happy to spend my time looking after yours. Helping people and animals gives me a sense of purpose. 

I am very patient and will spend the time getting to know pets, knowing that not all pets like strangers straight away. 

I am unable to bring pets home currently, due to having my own dogs, however, I am very happy to look after pets at their owner's homes. 

I would be willing to give medication if required. I am happy to walk dogs. These walks would depend on the dog, weather and time permitted, but I am happy to walk from 15 minutes to 1 hour. I will also pick up after pets, if that is required. I currently empty litter boxes, put it in the rubbish on bin night and put the bins out, as required. 

I'm open to any types of pets. I have experience with fish, cats, dogs and lizards. 

I will follow any instructions given to ensure that I care for each pet to the best of my ability so that the owner's can have peace of mind whilst they are away that their loved one is being looked after. 

I have a background in caring for people, so I know what it takes to ensure the health and safety of all life. I am happy to give daily/ weekly updates, whatever will put the pet owner's mind at ease. 

If you are looking at someone staying in your home. I am happy to do this. With my current situation, I am available to do this for up to a week. I am happy to check the mail and bring it in. I will ensure that the house is clean when I leave. I will not have uninvited people come to the home and will ensure privacy.
