Hi everyone my name is Monica and I am a Zoology graduate - animals are my passion!
My previous jobs involved wildlife care, dog training and disease control, I also have extensive experience with wildlife rescue and research. I have grown up around animals my entire life - I have had pets of every kind, not to mention the many temporary wildlife rescue visitors such as wallabies and echidnas. I have licenses to care for exotic animals and experience with large dogs.
I have been petsitting for many years, have made many beloved contacts over Australia, and have cherished every moment. Further than pawshake I can supply many petsitting references of clients for which I have been working with consistently for years.
During housesittings I will be at your home with your pet for the majority of the time, likely studying and giving them snuggles. I will learn their normal routine that you teach me and follow that - whatever walks, bedtimes and food they are used to etc. I always leave your house in the exact same condition as when you left, and show great respect and privacy for your home. I will also send you photos and updates of your pets while you're away so you don't miss them too much!
I would love to have pets of my own but don't have the right lifestyle or stability, being a student that loves to travel. So, when I take care of your pets I enjoy it and care for them as if they were my own. I also take great pride in making pet parents feel safe and as comfortable as possible with leaving. I take animal health and wellbeing very seriously and will do everything to care for your pet, and give you peace of mind whilst you are away.
