Hello, my name is Meliss, I am retired but still researching and studying online courses to be as knowledgeable as I can looking after the pets in my care. I developed a passion for dogs and cats at a young age, which didn't make me popular with my parents as they weren't animal lovers. This led me to join animal rescue for approximately 25 years or more, although I'm still very aware of animal welfare on a daily basis. I moved to Mt Isa to take a job as an Animal Control Officer (dogcatcher), certainly a different take on animal rescue, then when I moved back to Brisbane I took a job as ANIMAL-CONTROL OFFICER with Redcliffe Council plus working in BOARDING KENNELS, I took my these jobs to make sure the animals were cared for and treated with respect. I have owned several businesses including a PET SHOP which I loved, a CLEANING BUSINESS, and A BOWEN THERAPY ENERGY HEALING business.. Holistic Health for animals has always been very important to me.

Staying at the pets home while their owner/s are away allows me to give them comfort and support while reducing any stress or anxiety. I try to make it as much fun as possible so your pets feel they're having a holiday, they will be much loved with plenty of massages, and hugs to help them feel secure, also conversation, sometimes they answer me 😊. a daily walk is also included in the petsit. I check out places for walks so pets have variety, as some dogs don't like to have contact with other dogs so I respect the dog's needs while walking. I appreciate owners leaving instructions for feeding, also special needs or requirements will always be adhered to. I read instructions daily so I don't miss any special needs.

(Dog Poop "will be picked up daily, and with Cats Litter "cleaned daily).

The "House" will always be left clean and tidy.

I have two small dogs, Ben-- a Maltese x Shit-zu aged 11 years and Jackson -- a lLhasa Apso x Shitzu aged 6 years Also 3 x Ragdoll Cats aged 5 years, 3 years and 1 year, they follow me when I walk the dogs. They must think they're dogs. 😀 I am fortunate to share a house with my daughter, who looks after my pets when I am away.
