About me:
I love all animals great and small, from rearing lambs and piglets on a farm in South Australia as a kid to now looking after cats and dogs here in Sydney. I love spending time with animals and giving them the quality love and care they deserve! Peace of mind is so important when you need to leave your loved one in the hands of a carer, and I fully understand that responsibility when it comes to petsitting.
About my home:
I am lucky to live on my own, a 1km walking distance from Bronte Beach in a one bedroom apartment with a balcony (see photos). It is a cosy space where I spend a lot of my time. I also work some part time hours locally Sunday - Wednesday. On these days I am able to pop home during lunch. I also have a pet cam to check in on pets whilst at work. I have a balcony with a secure railing perfect for fresh air and toileting but also have access to a large communal lawn area on my property and several nearby reserves and parks including off leash areas. Access to the balcony can also be completely limited by a secure glass door if required for smaller/agile pets.
PLEASE NOTE: there is one flight of stairs up to my apartment floor that doggos will need to use or be okay with me carrying them.
I walk to Bronte Beach most mornings for a swim and coffee and love bringing my dog guests along for their daily exercise if they're up to it. I love living an active lifestyle and am able to walk or run with your active pooch or I'm just as happy cuddling up on the couch with the homebody type. I am used to pet-proofing and baby-proofing the place for pets as well as my young nieces. I am very happy to share my bed with dogs but will follow your bed rules!
About my experience:
I have been pet sitting professionally for 1.5 years and casually for friends and family for 16 years. My main experience is with dogs and cats. I have stayed at the owners' residence or hosted pets at my residence for up to 3 weeks at a time. I'm familiar with following a strict feeding schedule as well as administering oral medications and skin treatments such as sprays, creams and eye drops. I've also cared for dogs recovering from surgeries or injuries such as stitches and neck cones.
My childhood was filled with my own pets - dogs, cats, ducks, chickens, pigs, sheep, horses, lizards, birds, fish, mice, axolotyls and even a carpet python! I have experience caring for and feeding a wide range of animals with a wide variety of needs. My family has always adopted rescue dogs so I've cared for dogs with different backgrounds, abilities and needs such as injuries, anxiety and arthritis.

⁃ Kelpie
⁃ Labrador
⁃ Vizsla

⁃ Greyhound

Abbie did a wonderful job of looking after our two kittens while we were out of the country. She was quick to respond to messages and provided pics of the kittens. I highly recommend her.
Abbie was a great dog walker, despite the unfavourable weather.
