I absolutely love animals, but cats especially - I really get their particular brand of love ... and I love capturing great photo moments to send to you.

I lived up in the Northern Rivers of NSW for 11 years and eight of those years was spent volunteering at a no-kill cat shelter - it was a rich, rewarding and, at times, heartbreaking experience. This is where I met my Cheeks, who was nine years old at the time. She was surrendered to the pound and due to be put down when our shelter bought her in. Cheeks had a very sad and traumatic history, being used as a breeder. She was a hissing, scratching banshee and wouldn't let me near her. I decided that I would bring her home and love her. Eventually she let me kiss her belly and we shared a magnificent nine years together. Devastatingly I had to make the call to have her euthanised in May 2023 - she was 18 years old.

When you go away the best place for your feline is at home. Cats are creatures of habit and home is where they are surrounded by comfort, safety and familiarity. I understand that finding someone that you can trust with your beloved cat and your home when you go away can be a stressful sitution. To help minimise your stress I will send you daily updates, videos and photos.

I am also an avid gardener with over 200 indoor plants - an obsession which started during the lockdowns - and a huge native garden in my front yard that I created, which is flourishing and visited daily by birds. I'd be more than happy to give your garden and indoor plants some love as well. Here is a reference from a recent garden sit:

I am professional, communicative, mature, reliable, caring and kind and would love to take care of your beloved creatures while you are away. I offer home visits, house sits and overnight stays - please note that an overnight stay is 5pm to 7am the next day - there is no option for this on the Pawshake platform, so if this is something that you would like please let me know so we can discuss. I also understand that some cats don't care much for strangers or attention and I respect that and won't force anything. I am happy to administer oral medications, if they are cooperative! 

As part of my visit, aside from pats and love, I will feed and water them, clean/change the litter and give them a brush, if it's part of their routine. I'm happy to bring in your mail and tend to the bins, and as mentioned, water your plants and garden. If there is anything else that you would like to include in my time I am happy to discuss this with you at our meet and greet.

My service area is Ashfield, Ashbury, Summer Hill and Dulwich Hill. If you live outside of these service areas please reach out as I maybe able to help. I work from home so am available for visits mornings, afternoons and evenings.

I look after your creatures and home like I would want someone to look after mine.

I have a current and clear Criminal History Check Certificate issued by InterCheck and have completed and passed the Australian Red Cross Pet First Aid course as at 27 October 2023. I am an End of Life Doula and I'm currently studying a Diploma in Pet Bereavement Counselling.
