About Me!
Hello fellow pet owners! My name is Ashlee and I am a 21 year old, fourth year Veterinary student currently studying my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Adelaide. I live in Gawler to study for my degree but am looking for pet sitting opportunities over University holidays (around St Mary’s, Pasadena, Mitcham etc.). Feel free to check my availability for these periods! I am more than happy to offer discounts for longer stays, my current rate is more so for just single overnight stays.
My Skills and Experience!
I have always loved animals and have been lucky enough to grow up surrounded by all sorts of pets; dogs, cats, guinea pigs, chickens, birds, lizards and fish. In addition to this, I have completed 12 weeks of animal placements so have extensive experience in not just companion animals but livestock and large animals so am willing to take on all creatures big and small (check out some of my pictures)! I have also completed many weeks of work experience in Veterinary Clinics.
If your pet suffers from any medical conditions, I am confident in providing topical, oral or even injectable medications if need be. Furthermore, I have also had extensive experience with shelter dogs suffering with anxiety and behavioural issues so do not hesitate to contact me to discuss any additional care that your pet may need.
My Pets!
Unfortunately in my rental property, I am unable to care for pets of my own, but I spend most weekends with my parents who have many pets. My family pets include; Hugo (Boston Terrier), Bear (Staffy x Mastiff), Jazzy and Levi (Cats), Spike (Bearded Dragon), Burnie (Galah), Katut (Goldfish).

Ashlee was just amazing. She was so easy to communicate with the entire time and kept us updated through the night with photos of our dog Bruce. We have always been reluctant to have people Bruce doesn’t know care for him because he can be highly anxious, but Ashlee did an incredible job with him and made us feel so relaxed about everything. I would highly recommend her to anyone. We’re looking forward to her staying with Bruce again next time!
Ashlee was unbelievably helpful and I have no hesitation in recommending her as a pet sitter. She was kind and reliable and my pets loved her. She sent me messages each day with pictures to show how each one was going. It was such a relief to know all my animals were being so well looked after. During my Year 12 studies I was also lucky enough to complete a Certificate III in Animal Care and Husbandry, providing me with additional experience working with companion animals. I have also completed two Pet First Aid courses (2015 and 2017) so you can feel confident that your pet is in safe hands should the unexpected happen. Once my exams are over, I will have completed my Bachelor of Science (Veterinary Bioscience) degree, ready to take on my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine next year. I can also provide a current and valid police clearance/check if required.
