Hi, my name is Amy, I'm 32 and I regularly pet sit for family and friends. There's nothing I love more than animals - their love and individual personalities can fix anything. 

I joined Pawshake so that I can meet new animals and provide owners with reassurance that while they are enjoying their holiday away, their pets will also be enjoying themselves and getting lots of love, just like how I treat my girl, Aria and my recent addition, my boy Basil. I have no children and treat Aria and Basil as if they were my real (spoilt rotten!) children.

PLEASE NOTE - Aria is currently recovering from spinal surgery (IVDD). If you have a sausage dog you may be familiar with this as it’s most common in that breed, not a rottie x lab, so I am temporarily putting a hold on my pet sitting availability during her recovery. However if you have previously booked me please send me a message and I would love to try and work out looking after your baby!

I enjoy taking photographs of animals, so during my visits if your pets are willing to sit still for a couple of seconds I try my best to take some nice pictures for you. This isn't always easy but I do try, I promise! Once I actually returned to a house a few months later and the owners had printed my pics onto a canvas, I was stoked! The aim is that you seeing your babies happy and enjoying themselves will alleviate any concerns you might have and that you can continue to enjoy your time away. 

Having two large dogs myself, I am confident with all sizes and breeds of dogs as well as cats. I'm also confident in looking after any other pets you may have such as fish, reptiles, birds. The only real exceptions are horses and snakes.

I can visit your house once or twice a day as per your pet's individual needs and routine. Raw feeding or kibble is okay. Medication is no problem. Daily text message and photos updates are also no worries. Please note dog walking is a separate service which I do not offer for many reasons. 

I'm happy to answer any questions you may have as I understand that leaving your pet with a stranger is a daunting experience.

With all services your pet is my priority however I will also do odd things around your house to give the appearance of someone being home such as turning on/off different lights each visit, taking out and bringing in bins, collecting mail and removing junk mail from the driveway. I can also water specific plants if you'd like. These little things are great for security while you’re away.

I really do understand that your pets are a part of your family - mine are literally my babies and yours are your babies too. I dress Aria and Basil up for any occasion, make them raw birthdays cakes, take ridiculous photos of them any chance I can, feed them a balanced raw diet that takes me hours to prep (I have 3 deep freezers), I have personalised things all over my house, have done more than one photo shoot with them, have taken them on holidays, including most recently to Victoria for a snow holiday (no, not a ski holiday - a holiday specifically so my dogs could experience the snow in a dog friendly snow town), do you get the point? I'm all for loving your dogs as part of the family!
