Sorry I'm only taking repeat clients at this time.
After joining Pawshake in late 2021 I’ve already had the privilege of boarding for many pet owners. I enjoy meeting owners and caring for their best fur-mates in a comfortable home setting. My unique selling point is I am a career Guide Dog Mobility Instructor of 15 years, now on leave as a stay at home mum. Guide Dogs are 'the cream of the crop' so you can rest assured your beloved pet will get the best handling, training and husbandry care a home boarder can provide. I have trained exceptional working dogs to guide people who are blind and I also assist people who are blind to effectively and safely use their guide dog.
We live on a fully fenced, flat 1 acre property in Palmview. A very convient location for a quick drop off beside the Bruce Hwy to go to Brisbane, the Airport or are heading to the Sunshine Coast. Wide open grass area (see photo) to throw a ball, play tug of war or train your dog to return to you if called.
Our family pet is Wiggy, a 5 year old Jack Russell. My husband and our two young children are also happy to give your dog/s loving attention. We have a fully fenced pool area (see photo) for a cool paradise retreat area or in winter a great sunning spot dogs love, separate fully fenced decking area and secure sleep areas that can be utilised if you prefer to keep your dog separated.
Included in your boarding cost is a 30 minute walk or mixed play each day and 30 minute interactive play time with me in our large fenced yard. Daycare rate is also avaliable.
Questions:
To help your dog be as comfortable as possible, please assist by providing me some initial information on contact.
⁃ how old is your dog? Are they desexed?
⁃ Where do they sleep normally at night? Do they wake in the night?
⁃ Are they comfortable around small children?
⁃ Are they dog friendly? Have they ever had an altercation with another dog? Please give details and most importantly if they have mixed successfully with dogs since.
⁃ Can they spend some periods alone outside or do they need to be indoors only?
Please note I am only accepting minimum 2 night stays or pay equivalent.
Additional Services:
Training:
If you'd like specialised training during your dog's stay please let me know. This would include two one-on-one 15 min training sessions with me and your dog, for $40 each day you request. On pick up I'll give you a review of what your dog learned and some tips to you on how to keep their skills up. ( A real training bargain if you shop around!)
Puppies and Intact Males:
With a skill base to look after puppies and intact males, I am happy to offer these unique services. Given the nature of the additional attention they require I have an additional cost of $30 per day for puppies and $20 per day for intact males. I'm willing to negotiate these prices after their first stay.
Holidays:
Christmas December 24th to January 1st and Easter weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon) have an additional cost of $11 per day.
I look forward to meeting you and your dog soon!

Another great holiday stay for our doggie. After receiving regular updates and photos it’s easy to see why Raven comes home and sleeps. With plenty of space to run around with her friends she always looks so happy. It’s a really good feeling to enjoy our holidays while knowing she is enjoying hers.
We have used Catherine a number of times now due to her fantastic communication and care of our dog Hawy, who clearly enjoys his stays with Catherine and her family. Highly recommended.
International Guide Dog Federation Recognized Guide Dog Mobility Instructor and Guide Dog Volunteer. When I was 11 years old I raised a yellow Labrador, called Olmstead, as a Canine Companion for someone in a wheelchair.
