Hi there! My name's Kat, I'm a dog lover living in Pakenham, Victoria.
I have a cattledog x kelpie (Gira) who I love to bits - she's getting a bit old now to go for very long walks or come running with me, so would love to hang out with some new furry friends in my spare time! I particularly like larger/rescue dogs that I suppose others might describe as a handful - very satisfying to make a new friend and go for a gallop together.
I have just started training as an Enrolled Nurse at TAFE Gippsland in Warragul, and am so excited about this new chapter in my life - at 33 years old it's very refreshing!
About my services:
- I am happy and able to administer medication to pets, water plants and bring in the mail during home visits and house sitting. I can also offer other household tasks/jobs such as gardening, tree work, cleaning and laundry by negotiation.
- During home visits, my rate includes staying with your furbabies for an hour - longer by negotiation!
- Dog walks can be whatever duration your pup/s need; my rate includes anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour, but am happy to excercise energetic dogs for longer (or jog them) with discussion!
- I can stay for up to two weeks in the owner's home during house sitting.
- Home security measures I will take during house sitting include (but are not limited to) - securing all gates, windows, doors and locks; checking any areas of the house and yard where required; regular reporting back to owners; checking in with neighbours and looking for any signs of suspicious activity. No one except myself will ever be present in a client/owners home (no exceptions).
- I am usually available before and after study weekdays (4am-7am; 5pm-11pm) and any time weekends I'm usually available - but as I'm a full time student now I often have availability at other times throughout each week!
Let me know if you have any questions at all - I'm new to Pawshake but really keen to walk, run, house/pet sit, check in on pets and generally make more dog friends to brighten my day :) I also have experience looking after and exercising horses, cats, birds, snakes, spiders - you name it!
I've had dogs my whole life (I'm 33), and have a somewhat flexible schedule at the moment. I have my WWCC, full driver's licence (HR synchromesh!), current First Aid certificate, enjoy training for marathons, hiking, the outdoors and have never met a dog I don't like!
Please reach out for any more details. I would prefer mostly local but definitely happy to travel if needed - particularly to regional and rural Victoria for petsitting and farmsitting. Farmsitting rates can vary depending on pets and other farm animals. I have experience with farms, some experience with horses (rugging, grooming, feed etc), and am always keen to expand my farm knowledge.
Full refund if canceled before 12:00 p.m. one day before the booking, 50% refund afterward.
No refund is payable if the booking is canceled on or after the start date.
Note: All times are based on the sitter’s time zone
