About Karen & Richard

Dear Owners,

We pride ourselves in providing a reliable, personalised and premium service with a guarantee of total satisfaction.  We believe dogs need exercise and mental stimulation daily in the absence of your company - that is why our pet-sittng and house-visiting services includes walking your pooch. And if you have a cat, we have toys for playing.

We grew up with pets, then had dogs, horses and cattle on our small acreage. Our 3 beautiful German Shepherds (Jess, Sasha & Shep) brought us immense joy over 21 years.  We trusted them with our lives, as they did us.

Since 1995 we welcomed a multitude of pooches through our gates to stay and play with our wonderful dogs.  We loved seeing them so happy and social, caring for other people's pets has become second nature to us.
 
Pets left in our care are completely happy and relaxed and homes are left immaculate.  We have gone way above expectations being offered many return jobs, one owner saying we've set the bar too high! And even had owners booking their holiday times to fit our busy schedule :)

We know that our qualifications, experience, quality of service, attention to detail and dedication to caring for animals will give you peace of mind. We cater to individual needs and our personalised service will guarantee your fur-baby is happy and healthy - both mentally and physically, and kept in its normal routine.

In 2022, we both completed NSW TAFE courses with Statement of Attainments in Animal Behaviour and Learning as well as Professional Grooming for Dogs. We already put what we have learnt into practice and have been thrilled with the results - so have the owners :)  We want to use our skills and experience to improve your pet's quality of life.  We love to problem solve to help animals achieve their best self.  We know when animals are understood, they are so much happier and respond so well.

We are very house-proud and pedantic home-owners so rest assured we will respect your place and leave it clean and tidy.

If you don’t require an overnight pet-sitter, we provide house-visits.  All sits and visits include:
feed & water
poop scoop
exercise/play/companionship
bin & mail collection

We love and mind all size dogs but if your dog is big, strong and not trained to walk on a lead, then for safety reasons we will be unsuitable to walk them if they pull or lunge.  As an alternative, we can play and exercise them in the backyard.

Additional cost for extra pets for Housesitting or who require daily visits  is $30 per pet. Additional cost for extra pets who require a second visit is $20 per pet.

We do not pet-sit overnight in rural areas.  There is a travel charge of $1.25/km for house visits on acreages outside Orange.

We offer Holiday Care at your place of accommodation for visitors to Orange travelling with their dogs. Base rate is the same as House-visiting for the first hour, with additional hourly rate of $25 per hour per dog. We will be keeping a constant eye on your dog/dogs to ensure they are not getting into mischief and of course going for lots of walks. We also like to introduce them to other friendly dogs we know around the area so they have a great time whilst you are sight-seeing.

Karen and Richard were amazing. They looked after our dogs promptly and reliably and we found it to be fantastic value for money considering the service we received. They were very thorough in understanding our dogs' needs. Our husky is slow to like people but absolutely loved them, which speaks volumes for how good they are. We will definitely be using them again.

Karen and Richard were so amazing! They really went above and beyond to make sure our boys (Two dogs) were comfortable and happy before we went away. Our Dogs are quite anxious and a bit sooky. But Karen and Richard took the time to really make sure both the boys were happy and comfortable when they would visit, really tried their best to make the boys happy and enjoy their days when we weren't home.

They were genuinely concerned and cared for our dogs welfare, this wasn't just a quick "drop around and put food in a bowl" kind of pet sitting. Incredible, amazing all around! :)
