Hi!
We are Rachel and Justin, an animal loving married couple (29 years old and 37 years old) who are proud fur parents of a 12 year old Japanese Spitz (Mary), 11 month old Japanese spitz (Nadia) and 6 year old dog friendly Siberian cats (Kristoff and Ana). We have grown up around many animals and have years of experience caring for budgies, rabbits, fish, guinea pigs, cats and dogs. We are passionate about providing the best care and love for every animal no matter the size. You can rest assured that our place will be a second home to your fur baby.
I (Rachel), am studying online from home so I am home everyday. I will be around all day to give your fur baby the love and attention they need. We live in a two story house, with a large fully fenced backyard, including a large covered area. Toilet trained pets are most welcome in the home at all times and pets who are not toilet trained will be allowed inside with supervision. When I am cooking or teaching a lesson, they are free to run around the backyard. We live a 12 minute walk to the local park, and enjoy sunset walks around the area and at Cronulla which is our local beach.
Mary our Japanese Spitz is our priority. We took her in after she was no longer needed for breeding, and hence she can be a bit yappy at dogs who try to jump on her. She has the loveliest temperament and gets along with smaller breeds. A meet and greet is essential before proceeding with any bookings. Our cats are dog friendly, however if your dog has never been around cats before, the cats will be placed upstairs where they can safely roam, and your dog will be downstairs with Mary.
All dogs and cats must be up to date with vaccinations, worming, flea and tick treatments. For cats, they will be placed in a room with some Feliway when they first arrive to help them settle in. They will have access to their own queen sized bed and scratching posts are provided. They will be slowly introduced to more space in our home as they settle into their new environment. All food, treats and bedding must be provided by you. For smaller animals, we currently only accept rabbits and guinea pigs. They will be given lots of hugs, and allowed free roaming inside the home and out in the backyard with supervision (depending on what they are used to at home).
Pet daycare is from 8am-5.30pm and an extension of time will cost $15. I can also offer to groom your dog before pick up. Please note, I will not clip your dogs fur, but will brush, wash and blow dry your dog using Rufus and Coco pet products.

We left our beautiful girl with Rachel over the Christmas and New Year period while we were away in NZ visiting family. We were so nervous at first as it's the longest we've ever been away from her or had her stay with other people but Rachel made the transition so seamless and easy! Rachel is incredibly consistent with her communication and put in effort to help our dog socialise with her lovely little dogs too which we were so grateful for (she missed out on the early stages of socialisation due to COVID).
We honestly couldn't be happier with how wonderful the whole experience went for our dog and how calm and happy she was when we came to pick her up. Lovely home, backyard, family and other two puppy friends, would HIGHLY recommend! Rachel puts in the extra time, effort and care for your pet and they are absolutely in safe hands. We can't say thank you enough 😊
We can't speak highly enough of Rachel. She could not have cared more for Princeif he was her own dog. It was great to get little movies of him whilst we were away. We would have no hesitation in recommending Rachel to anyone and hopefully will get the opportunity to utilise her pet sitting services the next time we are away.
