About Cassandra
Hi there! I'm a Registered Nurse with a lifetime of experience with pets. I love animals and have always had pets (cats, bunnies, mice, a horse, fish & dogs). I recently said goodbye to my best canine friend, Chops, after 17 glorious years of love and companionship.
Chops has left a chihuahua shaped hole in my heart and I'm missing that animal love and companionship. I am not ready for my next permanent companion so pet sitting for you means I get to enjoy your precious fur-babies like they were my own!
I have experience with animal training and am happy to continue any training routines you may have in place, Chops was a model and worked in TV and print advertising. I am also experienced managing medications for unwell &/or senior pets including subcutaneous injections.
I have experience with small & large dog breeds, both indoor and outdoor cats including transitioning indoor cats to the outdoors, small animals like rabbits, ferrets & mice as well as fish a bearded dragon and even a horse!
I love going down to the local dog park and dog beaches for four footed adventures. Big walks are a given, I used to walk my chihuahua with my 2 cats as a pack around the neighbourhood and loved it! I love to see a happy dog, exhausted from a big day of smelling, fetching, running, playing & adventure.
I also have experience with elderly pets and understand the different needs of senior pets. Arthritis meant towards the end Chops wasn't able to walk as much but I recognised how much she still enjoyed coming out with me so her walks became more about mental stimulation of smells & textures.
Small dogs are welcome to come stay with me, medium & large dogs I'll come to you.

Cassandra's care of our Corgi , Sunny was exemplary. She went above and beyond to ensure that Sunny was well looked after and happy. In addition to his regular twice daily walks, she took time out during weekends and a public holiday to take him for numerous outings to the beach, city and a family picnic.
She regularly sent photographs and videos of these events and it was evident that he enjoyed himself thoroughly. This was particularly impressive as his behaviour seemed to improve while he was with her and reinforced her dog training credentials.
Sunny displayed both exuberance and obedience in equal measure when he was in Cassandra’s presence.
I would not hesitate in recommending Cassandra to anyone who needs a dog sitter and would also not hesitate in using her again. Cassandra’s professionalism, enthusiasm and overall attention to detail was outstanding.
We love Cassandra! She took care of our little Bella and treated her like her own. We love that she introduced her to new activities and took her out on adventures. We trust Cassandra and wouldn't hesitate to use her again and we can definitely highly recommend her. She has a genuine love for animals and they love her back.
